Lost something personal to a person

Guys, this is perhaps not directly a question about game but I could need some help from the people here.

How would you handle a situation in which you've lost something personal to a good friend? See, I promised this girl to absolutely not lose this personal thing(concrete object) since I needed it for one day but..what are the odds? I can't seem to find.

We're 'quite' good friends but she got kinda pissed of at me lately for being ignoring/not caring and now the trust is at rock bottom. We go to the same class and we'll continue to do that for a couple of years so it is not just a "rinse/do not repeat"-kind of deal.

Accept that it is gone and move on. Don't give something you care about to someone who doesn't feel the same way.

Well..it is the other way around. I don't think "hey, why don't you just accept it and move on?" would be a good response/excuse.

What did you lose? I would just call her or text her saying "hey I am coming over to pick up my photo/watch/record player or whatever you lost.

I think he's saying a good friend entrusted him with something of her's and he lost it. Tell her you lost it, apologize, and accept the consequences. But I'm sure you knew that already, you just don't want to do it.

You lost something that someone else gave you?

Regardless of sex, you best replace it with an as good if not better product.

When i was a freshmen in college, i moved an xbox 360 while it had a fifa disc in it. I ended up tree ringing the DVD. I said whoops and bailed since i had to go to a job. My room mate and boys at the time were all hella confused and spent a good hour trying to figure out a way to ask me that i should replace it with a new one.

When i came home, my room mate said to me, "So uhh frenchie, you broke this disc. Do you think you'll replace it?"

I said back, "Of course! i already bought a new one on ebay and it should be here in a few days. I'm really sorry about that."

My room mate was flabbergasted that i was so willing to go and replace it. They spent a few hours thinking they would need to convince me to replace something i broke.

"Wow, that was easy. i wasn't expecting you to do that."

Do the right thing. You fuck up, you own the problem. Replace the lost item.

(Not trying to sound douchy, but i'd expect the same if it happened to me.)

Of course I would do that if possible, but we are talking about personal things here, not something I could walk in to a store and buy.

^ Care to elaborate what this personal thing is?

If it's not priceless, and not something readily available to purchase, then offer the equivalent value in cash.

When you are ready, tell her to come over and collect said cash, and go for the bang...unless of course this girl is purely a friend of the non-sexual variety.

More like Everything Else forum, unless he's trying to get her to have sex with him by intentionally losing this thing of hers.

Very funny! I layed down the cards on the table. Trying to deceive my way out of this would be a dead-end for that friendship. I said that I would do everything to find it(she was till kinda upset) and I finally did find it. So it turned out pretty fine after all.

This sounds like 14-19 age drama. Get over it and 6-7 years from now you will find in some box, contact her again only if she is 1) Hot 2) Not knocked up and return whatever the hell it was using Tuth's gameplan by inviting her over and banging her in the process
