There is a really nice poker room in Resorts World that always has action. Problem is it only goes to 50/100 and rarely gets to 100/200 so if you are really trying to grind it out the action is just to small. Looks like Solaire might be getting some higher stakes players which would be great.

Not sure what the rake is at Solaire. It is 5% with a 400 cap at Resorts World which is pretty good here in Asia. I have seen places before that have 10%.

Why Manila Sucks
- You are not going to find hardly any girls in the 8+ category. Tons of cute petite girls that pass the boner test. Few if any stunners. The girls here can't dress for shit. Thai girls put pinay's to shame when it comes to style.

- Poverty. Parts of this city is depressingly poor.

- Filipino Food. Nothing more to say...

I'm definitely a Filipino food hater! They're awesome cooks when they cook other types of food - I had some REALLY good Thai/Chinese/Japanese food for $5 but Pinoy food consists of all the shit that the aforementioned folks throw in the garbage.

I had a family member in the hospital getting bile pumped out of his stomach and I had to explain to my girl that the fluid they're removing is the same shit that they eat haha!

Definitely plenty of 6-7's. I didn't see a single 10 in Cebu.

I'm in a LTR and I've got to agree that the GF can't dress AT ALL - but that kind of thing isn't important to me. To some it is though.

There is something missing in a discussion that goes from 6s and 7s to 10s.

I live in LA, and I see a lot of 6s, 7s and 8s. By the time, we get into the 9s and 10s categories, that's pretty rare in any location.

Actually, I do NOT really care that much about 9s and 10s, b/c I consider them as an unlikely demographic for me; however, if there is a place in which they are in abundance (such as hugh heffner's house), and i am "in" (like Hugh), then that may be another story.

How early before my trip should I start pipelining girls in the Phillipines?

Right now I'm about 7 weeks out before I leave and I was thinking it might be a little early but I wanted to hear some opinions from you guys.

10 days max. You will be chatting with so many girls it will be hard to keep track. Make sure you have some sort of organizational system to keep track of girls.

Download Viber, LINE, and Wechat on to your smart phone and you can text them for free even before you get to the Philippines. You will get a response from them much more consistently if you are using the phone to message and not an online site. Although I would say only about 50% of girls have smart phones with those apps.

Try to check out their facebook. Especially if you are using dateinasia as they only show 1 pic. Don't use your normal facebook, create a new one.

How online dating in Manila can feel sometimes...

Be careful out there fellas. Get that facebook to confirm! One pic on Dateinasia is not enough.

FYI: I have never actually had a ladyboy ever show up to meet me. Luckily after years of living here I can figure it out quickly. But for you newbies...

that's pretty sick.

The guy in the video got into that situation b/c he was o.k . with it. I thought that almost all of the ladyboys in the phils will tell you that they are a ladyboy if you ask?

Normally if it feels like I need to even ask the question I just avoid and move on. Even if it is a girl, but she some how gives off a vibe or look that I could even for a second think she was a ladyboy that is enough to turn me off.

@JJ Roberts -
I went to Solaire Casino tonight to check out the poker room. Not exactly a poker room as it is about 5 tables at the end of the casino floor. It had 50/100 and 100/200 NLH running. Wait list for both but the 100/200 had a big wait list.

Around 11pm tonight (friday) they were going to have a 200/400 and maybe 500/1000 game going on. Min buyin 40bb and max buyin 500bb.

Totally forgot to ask about rake. I will probably go play there soon, maybe tomorrow night.

There are more tables at Resorts World but it is 25/50 and 50/100 with the occasional 100/200 and often times the 100/200 is a mixed game which I would never play.

Pretty damn good talent working at solaire. Unfortunately, they aren't really allowed to flirt with customers but I was able to get an instadate with a really cute blackjack dealer at Mall of Asia nearby when her shift ended.

Hey Direct Danger do you have any advice on touristy activities to do in Manila?

I've never been to a cockfight before so that is on my list.

I went to a huge "cock pit" in Manila with THC and 20nation for my first ever cock fight, it was a big place, well over 1000 people on a Sunday afternoon. I went to a couple of others in small places, every town has one and they're fun, although I lost money each time I went, its a huge part of Filipino culture. The Philippines are great but I came across this headline yesterday "Philippines mayor assassinated at Manila airport; baby and 2 others killed", just to show you how fucked up it can be there at times, lots of guns in the PI. And for you gus wondering about Zamboanga, the mayor who was killed was from here, I don't think it would be a great place to visit, especially right now.

Damn, that's sad. Sounds like something that would happen in Mexico.

Crazy how shit works out here.

Was reading about some of the violence in the Philippines, it's worst in Mindanao because of the local vendetta culture there. Sounds like that might have been the case in the killing of the Zamboanga (Mindanao) mayor. There are basically clan feuds which have lasted decades and killings are common. It's unrelated to Islamic separatist terrorism but that occurs in the same region as well. Not to mention kidnappings of people seen as rich, often Chinese Filipinos who are despised, but foreigners fit the bill to these gun-toting hicks as well. Might be wise to stay away from southern and western Mindanao. Davao City did fit into that category in the past, but it was cleaned up by its tough guy mayor over the last 20 years who set up death squads to summarily execute any criminals they could find.

How much easier, if at all, is it to use an iPhone for these apps?

I have a galaxy mini android and I like it because it's only worth $75 and I don't care if I lose it.

Am pipelining like crazy and your idea about organizing is super important. So far 40% rejection, 30% scammers looking for cash, 20 % response and 5% reliable correspondents which are valuable because Flips are flakes, if you want LTR you want to screen as much as you can.

No, I "DO NOT." [Image: icon_razz.gif] What does that have to do about my request for opinions about iPhone superiority for pipelining /making contacts there?

Maybe I misspoke? And, I was referring to the response rate that you had been getting from girls when you are pipelining. It seems to me that these girl are going to respond much differently, if a guy is in country or if a guy has quasi-solid travel dates.

I don't use android devices, so I was NOT responding to that portion. So hopefully someone else can respond to that.
