How to deal with "Are you here just to bang local girls?"
That's good, but this is the response that has worked for me:
"Yeah, you're absolutely right. I traveled all this way from the USA which happens to have both the HOTTEST and the EASIEST girls in the world, just to meet girls."
It makes them look foolish for the accusation and also builds the mystique of being an American. It's worked 100% of the time.

I would say "Nah, I am here for the beer too" and smile.
Basically anytime anybody accuses you of anything you totally take away their power and their frame by admitting it whether it is true or not.
Example :
AMOG : That shirt makes you look gay.

This is pretty much my approach to accusations from girls/cockblockers in English-speaking countries, but you have to be careful with the sarcasm if they don't speak English as a first language. I'd normally say it with a deadpan expression back home but would make the joke more obvious abroad.
I like youngmobileglobal's idea but if I'm only in a place for a couple of days I'd rather read up about aspects of their culture/history before I go and use that as my "reason" for being there. Or you could say you were there for an interview for a future job, college semester etc.

The answers provided are all good ones, but what I've used very successfully in Brasil is that since I speak fluent Portuguese, people are less likely to ask me that question but rather ask me how come I speak portuguese fluently. Then I tell them my love for Brasil, brasilian music (big samba lover), futebol and the overall brasilian culture (all are totally true for me) so when they hear me talk about my reasons and with passion (passion is one thing you cannot fake so when people see that they know you're for real and not a fake), they give me the two thumbs up and really respect me and start introducing me to guys and girls and then I take it from there as it's a peace of cake from then on.![[Image: smile.gif]](https://rooshvforum.network/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Rumguzzler, insulting the mother or sister of someone specially in Europe, Asia or SA is definite no go. I realize honour has lost its value in North America but in other parts of the world, it's still (and thankfully) very big. In some places, insulting or insinuating an insult towards a female relative of someone can cost your life. So playinng the bad boy/tough boy is a definite no go even if you're 10 feet high and 350 pounds of pure raw muscle. Life is very cheap in some places of the world so be careful about what you say or how you behave in some places.

@VP How long did it take you to become fluent in portuguese? Did you practice a lot while you weren't in Brasil. I use the pimsleur program and I have a grammar book. Also I practice with random people I meet and I dated a girl for a little bit that knew very little english. I'm around the conversational level but I still have difficulties.
VP, I know you're right and it actually occurred to me that was a dangereous route to take. Where I'm from this is not a biggie, but yes, you could get hurt in another country for saying that.

I started officially learning portuguese around Xmas 2003 and by officially learning meaning listening to the pimsleur course, reading brasilian sites/papers/books. I also have been a huge brasilian music fan ever since I can remember so that helps a lot too specially to get familiar with the unique sounds in portuguese. Also because my first language is French and I speak also italian and a bit of spanish, that for sure helped me tremendously in speeding up the learning curve in Portuguese. As long as you speak one of the roman languages, you could easily learn any of the other roman languages (italian, french, spanish, portuguese and to some extent, romanian). I've been also chatting via msn/skype to brasilian friends that I met online and during my trips. I had TV Globo Internacional, the big Brasilian TV channel at home and I watched it whenever I was watching tv since there's nothing on normal cable other than commercials anyways. So that's how I got to this level with Portuguese. However, the biggest factor in me getting fluent this fast in Portuguese was and still is the very strong passion I have for Brasil, Brasilian culture, music and football. I didn't learn Portuguese just for the girls but rather for the whole Brasil experience. And then, once there, the girls came naturally. So yeah, Pimsleur will help a lot but you need to practice as that's the key point. Don't worry if you make mistakes. The bigges mistake people make when learning a language is that they are too shy and are afraid of making a fool of themselves by making mistakes in a new language.Don't. While you might be right some guys travel mainly to bang local chicks, there are still guys who travel for other reasons (such as seeing a new place, discovering a new culture, learning new things/languages, school, work, business etc...and experience a different aspect of life different than their known environment. And when on the way, the guy gets a local girl, that'll be the icing on the cake and NOT the whole reason of their travelling.
It doesn't matter what the REAL reason is. If you're trying to fuck the girl, the worst answer you can give is the real one where you try to prove that you're some asexual man who only works and looks at museums. It's borderline pathetic to go out of your way to say how you don't care about girls.

It's only pathetic if you're main purpose in that area is to bang local women and then trying to hide that. If you're in a place mainly for other reasons than just girls, then it's not pathetic to answer the question as honestly and truthfully as possible. Quite the opposite Roosh. There is a lot more to life than just banging local or any chicks for that matter. Chicks are a nice addition, the icing on the cake if you will. By you showing them you're not another sex tourist, you are no longer seen as just another low life punter/monger but rather a real person with real reasons to travel and be there. And that will not only make the people happy to see you in their country but also make you accepted and respected geniunely and then, a whole new world of possibilites and opportunities open.
