Miami Beach: Venetian Islands Logistics?

Miami Beach: Venetian Islands Logistics?

Heading down to Miami Beach from NYC for the first time in a few weeks. Been perusing the forum threads about the place and it sounds like I'm gonna have a great time. However, a Q:

A friend has generously offered me his beach house on the Venetian Islands for the duration of the stay. The place is gorgeous and I'm psyched. But are there any logistical things of which I should be aware? Obviously, I'm gonna have to take a cab (looks to be about 10 min to SB—is that right) there and back. Anything else I should be aware of? Is it gonna be tricky to get girls back to this place?

Also, any Miami dudes who want to meet up for a drink, laughs, and ladies, hit me up.

The Venetian will probably be about $15-20 each way by cab from the main drag on South Beach, get used to paying it because that area it pretty isolated from everything else you would want to do (the main beach, restaurants, clubs, etc.).

Yeah, that's what I figured. No problem; the place is gorgeous and I don't mind my share of cab rides. Anything else I oughta know?

If you're trying to get into a club with some other dudes and the fucker at the door starts giving you some shit about buying a bottle to get in, they're just fucking with you at that point. Just leave and don't waste your time in line.

If you want to be on the beach itself without a bunch of tourists and shit around go near the Fountainbleau around 45th street which is a few miles north of where south beach ends. The beach is really nice up there with more open space.
