50k is a small city more than a small town from my perspective, but I wonder where the majority of the people who move to the smaller cities are from. It's unlikely you get girls moving from LA to Duluth for example.

Once you move up to city size it seems like vibe has more to do with it than population size - a city of 50k with a college and arts/dining is bound to breed and attract a higher quality of woman than a city of 50k with no college where the mill supplying half the jobs closed 10 years previous. It's been my impression that in small towns of a few thousand that the women share more personality traits than they would otherwise, that "down to earth"iness to use the overused phrase. But if girls of this type were going to move to a city it would probably be just as likely Duluth as it would LA. Good compromise, and definitely easier than going to the source.

You are being sentimental and a little delusional to think these girls are better than others (they're not).

Feminism and liberal ideas in general don't really have any hold here, however the girls party and fuck when they're teenagers just like anywhere else. All the girls from my class turned into whores in college just like girls from anywhere else.
Hardly any girls around here will even call themselves 'feminist', but that doesn't mean they are any less obnoxious than their liberal counterparts. Without the entertainment options of a city, they have to create their own fun ---- which means drinking, drugs, and fucking (I'm not complaining).

There are definitely some legitimately religious good girls in the Midwest, but they get married young and you'd have to put a lot of effort into getting in their social circle.
IMO, youd want a religious Christian girl from a relatively lower class family. There are a lot of cute amish girls around here too, and they are the real deal in terms of quality.

And yeah. There's some extremely trashy girls there, but also a few diamonds in the rough. Hutch is also in my experience one of the trashier small towns I've visited. You can usually find some really nice women in Appalachia or Rocky Mountain towns. Not that many virgins left anywhere but the ones in those areas are generally good looking and pleasant to be around.

Has the female talent coming out the "small town" changed since the arrival of the internet? Easy, and cheap contact with the world? Culture? And the allure of travel?

Or is the horizon of that "type" still small, homely, and narrow? Or simply more ethical and agreeable feminine?

Define "feminine". They are more likely to want to raise children at a youngish age, and do the cooking and cleaning, in my experience. Also more likely to get dirty in the garden or at a mud bog. Less likely to spend an hour painting on their face before going anywhere and asking if a dress makes them look fat. More likely to actually get fat, if you don't make youe standards clear. I once told an ex that I'd leave her if she ever gained more than 10 lbs - even if she was pregnant. She got pissed but never fat. In my defense I was...half...kidding.

Opiates in the northeast and meth in the midwest are the small town scourge, don't know that we can blame the internet for that. The shift in divorce rates probably more so.

I knew a girl whose best friend's mom walked in on her getting a train run, and plenty of others who were sluts, addicts, you name it. Also plenty who were sweet and fun and loyal. These girls aren't saints by and large, but neither are the girls in Phils or Eastern Eu. The shared trait which makes them all more desireable than the American mean to me is submissiveness and lack of entitlement, and a lot of the negative traits we associate with "American girls" here fall under the entitled umbrella. Rural vs urban income disparity also plays a part no doubt.

I'll defer a more concrete answer to some of our older members on the question of pre-internet small town game since I'm a bit younger.

First of all, it's not like we are talking about a 3rd world where the internet really only became widespread recently, small town America has had widespread internet access for the past 20 years (except some areas of Appalachia).

Also, I think you are conflating the internet and social media, which should probably be separated when discussing their impact on women and society at large as they differ slightly. The internet did make ideas, information and places more accessible to people from small towns. This has probably had a sizable impact on the migration of younger generations into cities and urban areas.

The effects of social media on small town America women are just the same as the average American woman anywhere else. The attention whoring, the narcissism, the 49er attitudes, etc.

It's pretty simple with small town girls IMO. Most small town girls will be interested in the outside world and will try and leave the confines of small town life for a big city or a far off university. Doesn't mean they'll succeed, they are just by and large more interested in the outside world by age 18.

The fewer remaining small town girls who are primarily family oriented or religious will have at least a somewhat pessimistic view of the outside world. They will stay put after high school, go to a local college, lock down a husband, get pregnant (in either order) and be small town the rest of their life.

You raise a great point here. This disparity limits the number of strong independent women and allows provider game to be more successful in small towns. To the small town women looking to stay small town the rest of their life, finding a provider is high on their priority list. Any small town dude who has half a brain knows this and exploits this.
