Wayout - The only problem is that they don't take American Express. But if you have a Visa you can go to ATMs and withdraw money easily.

Cuban Spanish is not so bad imo though.

They don't take anything American! No American bank issued card will work. An American would have to bring all cash for the whole duration of the stay.
I was asking Canadians or Mexicans if there is a bank I can walk in and get an account? Or maybe some bank online? To think about it, stop over in Bahamas on the way to Cuba and sort that bank ATM problem there?
And by the way, I've been to Cuba 14 years ago - that's when the place was a paradise. You could sleep with a girl for a bar of soup and a t-shirt.

Has anybody on the forum trained boxing in Cuba? I'd be very interested in doing a month or so of training there. However, I don't speak Spanish. Would I be able to get by?

Thank you

lavidaloca (or anyone else who's been),

What's your take on what NaughtyNomad said about Cuba (links below)? One question of my own... he cites stats saying Cuba is 63% white, 20% mulatto, and 16% black. Do your eyes on the ground back that up... anywhere near accurate? Wikipedia has similar stats, slightly more mulattos... and blacks are only at 9%.

One guy told me some really nice things about Holguin. Any experience there?

They are stretching the white category to likely include triguenas more than likely. It doesn't seem out of the question. It really will depend in the area you are in and even the sub-barrios. If you walk around Havana Vieja you'll probably think the majority of people are black. If you walk around in the nicer neighborhoods of Vedado and Miramar by contrast you'll think the vast majority are white. In Holguin I'd guesstimate 80% white for example. in Santiago the reverse.

I've spent about a year of total time in Holguin in the past 3 years. It's not a place to go if you are looking for a variety. Only 1 girl can register in your casa per stay generally speaking. Hence you try to bring a 2nd one and you will likely be told no. Girls have to register in Holguin. This entails them signing a book that is taken to immigration / police and recorded with the authorities.

The guys you will hear raving about Holguin are typically older. Think 50+ and generally 60+. It's a cheaper area and more navigatable for them. I spend under 5 dollars a day on taxi's there unless I get really stupid and am partying till 7 or 8am. Can't say the same about Havana. They are able to get 20 year old girlfriends still. The gleaming hole thats not mentioned is that overwhelming if you are changing girls up you will be switching from prostitute to prostitute due to the registration requirement. If you want a wife go to holguin. I wouldn't recommend it for someone who wants 3 or 4 notches in a week or anything of that like. If thats what your after unfortunately regardless of your game level / looks it will be prostitutes. 98% of casas will let you register 1 girl per stay. You bring a second one and they will say no. Now heres your other issue that hasn't been addressed. If a girl just wants to chill, i.e. you want to invite her to watch a movie or eat dinner at your place she has to register!!! Hence, theres no chance to escalate/ surprise her, push her buttons. It's either shes going to your house knowing shes registering and fucking you or she ain't. Holguin has more of an "in crew". You get to know everyone, you begin to belong to the farandulera. Its very different than havana where everyone is anonymous. The same people go out every night. I like this, but for a short term traveller you are unfortunately going to be on the "outside" looking in. There are many incredibly well known people who make up the farandulera. Imagine people who go to the same clubs for 20+ years 7 days a week. That is the general gist of Holguin. Everyone knows everyone in the club scene. In Havana I can go to one club one night, another the next night and see 0 of the same people. Heck, I'll go out with Cuban friends and they won't know a single person. It's a very different atmosphere.

I would not recommend Holguin unless you have an "in", or you have time. I don't think it would be very fruitful.

The place where naughtynomad stayed is a street I actually have stayed on. (San Rafael) It's hooker central. You are within walking distance of many legit restaurants, malecon, landmarks etc, but you are not within walking distance of any nightlife that won't be overwhelming hooker centric. The Bellevue he mentions is a basement club in Hotel Deauville...I'm not sure whether it's actually called the Bellevue but it is 110% prostitutes. It was a little dinky nightclub. Think maybe 40 or 50 people. Screens with music videos and the screens weren't even colour. It was a shithole.

Amazed at the quality of the trinidadian women! There is some 9s on that page.

Am i right in thinking women of that level work and are middle class? by Trini standards.

Im trying to find some economically poor women on that beauty level. Does Anyone familiar with Trinidad know if its possible to find that?

Holy shit, that account really is pretty god damn good. Now I'm curious too. That seems out of place for Cuba, based on what I saw when I was in Havana.

That is not Cuba. You will not find woman remotely near that level in Trinidad. Perhaps drop about 5 or 6 points in the rating scale.

If those photos are actually taken in Trinidad I can assure you it is Trinidad & Tobago (Trinidad) not Trinidad, Cuba.

Those are not Cuban woman.

@Natas305

I think you are confused, although i cant say for 100% certainty. That instagram page is majority Trinidadian girls. I can tell by the look.A few of them commented in there pics and they have trinidad flags. Its Trinidad the island, not in CUBA.

@Lavidaloca, thanks for clearing that up. I have a friend who travels to Trinidad and he says yeh its not like that. So confirms what i thought.

I was wishfully thinking that Trinidad could be another D.R but i know better TBH lol.

I imagine, the fine trinidad girls are just as hard to smash as a Miami 9.
