For High School Guys: Little Brother Game

This is a post for anyone reading in high school (or a few years out of high school).

I have a brother around ten years younger and when I was a teenager he insisted in coming along with me everywhere -- to the mall, on dates, even to my job at a pizza place.

At first, this annoyed the hell out of me, but after a few encounters with girls my age, I noticed there was a certain value in having him around. First, he looked like mini-me, so there was instant novelty appeal. Second, having a kid around brings out the maternal side in girls: they find it cute and they find you both manly, sensitive and secure, since you don't mind having a kid around.

After a while, I turned this into a bit of a routine. We'd go into a clothing store to get, for example, a Mother's Day gift and when the (hot) sales girl asked if we needed any help I'd say "Ask the expert" and point at him. Much hilarity would ensue when he'd try to explain what we were looking for. Another time, he begged to go play miniature golf with me and date and provided a lot of unintentional comedy that sort of bonded the girl and me together.

Anyway, my advice to younger guys is to use this to your advantage while you can. Older guys know to do this with dogs and babies (when possible) but I'm not sure high schoolers realize how valuable a younger sibling can be. (So long as the kid is cool that is...I had another brother who was a game ruiner. Don't take these kinds of kids anywhere ever.)
