Prince is probably still kicking himself. According to rock lore, he tried to date her repeatedly, even writing her band's first hit, "Manic Monday" to woo her (at the time, they were an obscure Paisley Underground band and it was unlikely they'd have broken out without his hit -- none of the other bands in that scene did).

Anyway, even with that, it didn't work. So he did the next best thing and penned a song for the similar-looking Sheena Easton ("Sugar Walls") and supposedly nailed her instead.
