My best guess is that the mother is some sort of Jezebel type feminist who pushing her child to do this - basically using the kid as a tool for her own political pet project. I don't think a 6 year old kid really gives a shit about gender politics or what bathroom he/she has to use.

Is it me or are there more and more stories about transgendered elementary school aged kids popping up all the time? This is crazy. I work with kids everyday as a camp counselor during summer break from college and most 8-9 year old kids still can't form logical, well thought out ideas in their heads about the world around them. In fact, many are still working on talking in complete sentences. This boy is 6 and I imagine the parents got the whole transgender process going some time before this, probably when the boy was only a few years old.

I fail to see how a young child can know they are actually the opposite sex when they are that young given that they still can't fully comprehend the world around them. Their brain simply hasn't made enough connections and matured yet. At the very least wait until puberty for god's sake. Total case of the mom's feminist hamster going supernova and forcing the whole process when it shouldn't even be considered for that young of a child. 99% chance of this kid having some serious problems a few years from now. Makes me sick.

Good point. How many six year olds can really coherently explain how boys different from girls, beyond perhaps a contrast and compare of body parts?

Isn't it a little past age 6 when kids start to organize themselves exclusively by gender?

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought kids were clueless until about seven.

Came here just to post that. This event has nothing to do about the sexual identity of the child and is completely about the psychopathy of the mother, her influence on the father, and ultimately, her influence on the fragile psychology of the a child. Absolutely sickening indeed.


And what in the fuck is wrong with the child protection services in Colorado(or whatever the public institution is called to deal with these cases) that they would not consider the influence of the adults in this child's life? Do they always just rubber stamp the liberal adgenda in all of these cases?
