The picture above appears in the article as part of the speculation as to why the study results were as they were.

I guess the West has gotten to that point, if the study is correct.

I only know a few couples that have good relationships. One of them is gay. The rest of the guys I know wish they never got married. They stay with their wives for the sake of the kids and push their feelings aside because if they didn't they would be the guy in the picture. They basically let their wives destroy their lives so their kids can be ok.

These type of articles usually compare apples to oranges. They should compare kids adopted by gay parents to kids adopted by straight parents. Adopting parents are obviously a highly selective group that is not representative of the population at large.

Sorry, I'm not buying this. You'd have to be willfully blind to believe that having a family situation that different than all the other kids wouldn't have some negative effect. Nothing against gay parents who adopt -- better than the kids being orphaned.

Last year a study said the opposite, and the media did backflips to try to prove it wrong.

They compared children with same sex couples to "to Australian children from all backgrounds and family contexts."

So, it seems they didn't even control for socio-economic status. Gay couples who adopt are going to be wealthier on average than the general population.

Dear Aussie researchers: Try comparing kids raised by gays to kids raised by straight parents of similar socio-economic and racial background and get back to us.

Thing is these researchers are well aware of the trickery they employed. It's not like their apples to oranges comparison was merely an oversight, it's cooked data with an agenda. They want to force gay equally on everyone so we can all be political correct. These are the same type of asshats that'll tell you single motherhood is no less desirable than a two parent family.

This. If a study came out saying that gay couples make for worse parents than straight couples, people would throw a fucking fit. It would be slammed as sexist, homophobic, bigotry, or whatever else the current popular shaming term is.

People against gays adopting are homophobic. People against mass immigration are racist. People against current divorce laws are sexist. PC police are hard at work making sure any study or any person who paints a "protected" class of people in a bad light is shamed into oblivion, regardless of how much the facts back them up.

This was an Australian study. A blog called Oz Conservative must know more about its background, because the blog's writer has pointed out some flaws in it the article missed:

"In reality the research doesn't prove much one way or the other. Why? Because it is based on a self-selected sample and the data was self-reported (the gay parents themselves filled in a questionnaire about their family life).

The researcher who conducted the survey is himself in a gay relationship and raising children."
