Five Stupid Things About Men's Rights Movement

Don't normally dabble in this kind of thing but I saw it posted on Facebook. Why are more and more guys coming out and making videos or articles on this, shaming their own gender? Are they seeking easy mini-fame with them by supporting women knowing they'll all rally behind him, do they get laid because of it, are they changing anything in the world? Are they virgins? Do they need to paper over the cracks in their lives by pretending they're doing the right, "socially acceptable" thing?

Even the video description takes on a sarcastic, moral stance:

Quote:Quote:

I wanted to do Five Stupid Things About Feminism, but they wouldn't let me. I'm sick of being held down by the Woman!

Here's a good comment:

Quote:Quote:

Many MRAs ignore that one of the harshest critics of Feminism are women right activists from the third world.
Feminists are white bitter women who focus their anger on the western culture... and completelly tolerate Islamic misogyny.
Some feminists like Yvonne Riddley and Joanie de Rijke reached the perversion of tolerating their own rape by muslim men...
Feminism is completelly fucked up movement.

Reminds me of my favourite quotation. From the philosopher - Arthur Schopenhauer:

"All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident."

"Why are more and more guys coming out and making videos or articles on this, shaming their own gender?"

You already answered this: because this man thinks this is gonna get him laid or get his liberal buddies to clap him on the back.

I'll resist the temptation to fisk the video (we'll leave that for the blogs), but want to concentrate on an important detail. He says up front the MRA movement is misogynistic not because the guys are wife-beaters but because "it's the blindness, the insensitivity of men who can't or won't look beyond their own interests."

This is the whole problem with the way Western society has come to think. Why the eff are men considered "insensitive" when they want to tend to their own interests? This is how to create Beta Males. Putting women first = 1). You won't get laid, and 2). If you do get laid you'll get disrespected and reamed in divorce court. And this is where PUA and MRA meet: get stepped on and get nothing in life. Telling men to put other first as a way of life is the worst advice anyone could give.

Listen up: NOBODY respects a doormat. Maybe they did in 1955, but they don't now. For this guy to be asking men to "look beyond their own interests" is asking them to get stepped on. And, ironically, it makes him the real misogynist since he's demanding men treat women in a patronizing, paternalistic way.

I hope this video at least gets him a high-five...from a chunky feminist whose meaty paw shatters the bones in his hand.

I have said it before.

PUAs pretend to give women what they want - in order to get what they want.

MRAs try to negotiate with women - to get what they want.

MGTOW - want nothing from women. So - just tell em' to fuck off.

And it is MGTOW which scares women much more than the other two groups. Since it removes all power from them.

So - as an MGTOW myself - I don't hang with the MRA crowd.

It's hard not to get just a little bit mad at these dudes.

What's funny is that he talks about this idea of "male privilege".

Quote:Quote:

For women, female privilege is getting doors opened for you and drinks bought for you.

Male privilege is getting to be able to run the fucking world.

I'll take male privilege.

I should ask him, does he run the world? By virtue of him being a man, does he hold an important office? He didn't pause to think, just for one second, that leadership positions might require some level of merit and men happen to be better at it most of the time.

No, he's an AmazingAtheist clone, a fat slob with 550 youtube videos and all of 11k subscribers on youtube. What he should be looking at is the "glass floor". 90% of men are homeless, there's way more men in prison, etc etc. If there really was a male privilege, why wouldn't these homeless fuckers be leaders, or for that matter, why are they unemployed in the first place? Why do men, compared to women, serve longer prison sentences for identical crimes?

This guy's nothing more than a pseudo-intellectual shit eater. He makes the same fallacious arguments that the feminists do.

Hey cardguy, can MGTOW's still fuck women?

In the movie Gandhi some SWPL reporter asks Gandhi what he would do about Hitler. Gandhi said he'd try passive resistance.

MRA = Gandhi in that scene.

MRA's would be out saving disabled whales if they even thought they might get laid once in their lives.

I wouldn't urinate on them if they were on fire.

I'm pretty sure you're confusing MRA's with male feminists.

MGTOW and PUA is pretty similar. Both groups have taken the 'red pill'. But PUAs tend to use the red pill to get better at pulling chicks.

Whereas MGTOW - use the red pill to step over the traps that are laid out to ensnare blue pillers. This can lead to being better at pulling chicks. But - it also can lead to not giving as much of a fuck. Since taking the red pill involves taking pussy off the pedastal.

Also - MGTOW - tend to be alot more pragmatic. And since pussy's pussy. Is just as happy paying for it as they are spending hours trying to 'win' it from dumb bitches.

"Layer Cake" showed just how dangerous beta punks and scandalous women are. After surviving gangsters, crooked businessmen and various other thugs, he ends up taking one in the chest from a beta pussy over a chick that he couldn't close on, but was using him for the money and access he had. Always remember that...

What I don't like the most about these guys is that they're socially retarded. Give this guy a fuzzy hat and pay his club fee, and he'd cockblock you instantly, especially if he had no chance at taking her home. He's not fooling anybody with his "I'm more sensitive", especially not women within the feminist movement.

They also lack any father figures or older men in their lives to school them differently on the actual nature of gender relations. The differential of power is considerably skewed in favor of women in almost all respects. All that I know about getting divorce raped I learned from 40-50 year old male divorcees. They told me to never get married and I'm willing to stick to that, not for their sakes, but because I saw how miserable they were. That's not a lifestyle for me.

You couple a complete lack of experience with an insensitivity towards the men in your own life (who routinely go ignored) and you get bullshit videos like this.

Interesting thing about the 'red pill'. Even a 30 year old who has swallowed the 'red pill' is only at the same level as an 18 year old girl. In terms of 'game' knowledge.

Alot of the shit we guys discover - is just shit women have known and discussed amongst themselves since they were teens.

MGTOW is about being wise and not clever.

A clever man learns from his own mistakes.

A wise man learns from other people's mistakes.

Hmmm...i'm not sure I agree with that...say what you will about feminists, they have rewritten the law in their favor. They even created a whole new type of law & court - "Family Court" - that seems to have an unwritten rule: "The Woman Always Wins". They've been pretty darn effective, even though it has led to the demise of the American family and millions of boys being raised in fatherless homes. I think that copying their tactics, if it is 20% effective, might help restore some balance.

Smart man. If you were a turtle and saw another turtle saunter across an 8-lane highway, and get crushed, you'd be smart to turn in another direction. As you've done.

Cheesy and over the top, completely unrealistic. So many far better films on a similar topic.

Goodfellas, American Gangster etc

This guy in a nutshell:

I'm going to get mad pussy from this.

But really, I wouldn't be surprised if this guy is a main contributor to Jezebel. If you're not looking out for your own interests, then no one is. Thus is the way of life, I will not compromise myself just because of someone else's situation or for the way they feel. Deal with it.

Also, number 5 made me facepalm so hard. He is exactly the kind of man that feminists want (not sexually of course). Emasculated, empathetic to the female "plight", and a tool. I obviously have no grudges or ill-will towards females, but we're on two different psychological worlds. Women want men to run the world and call the shots.

There is alot of needless animosity directed toward MRAs from others in the manosphere, including PUAs and MGTOWs. MRA, PUA, and MGTOW all have one thing in common. We are all working to define our own masculine identity independently from what society expects of us. We are all interested in expressing male freedom and sovereignty. We merely do it in our own ways. And for me that's just fine.

PUAs do it partially for sexual choice (and thus sovereignty), but from what I've observed PUAs aren't just the pussy hounds MRAs often claim them to be. MGTOW is basically a male self actualization movement which seeks to shun dependence on having one's identity externally validated. In their own way, I think the PUAs are similar to the MGTOW. I was basically MGTOW in my 20s.

In fact I'd still call myself MGTOW. I choose now to be MRA, but I have nothing against MGTOW and PUA culture, they both interest me. The reason I choose to be predominantly MRA is because our legal establishment is fluid, it isn't rigid. MGTOW essentially operates under the assumption that the legal establishment won't change to compensate even if it starts crumbling, which is naive. Our society has demonstrated that it has no problem with male slavery, nor any problem violating the constitution. What makes you believe our society won't simply pass new draconian laws to compensate for a mass MGTOW movement? Would you become an MRA under those circumstances? If so, then why does it make sense to wait until we get to that point?

Open social and political opposition to the feminist governments of the West is what we need, as I think many here will agree. MGTOW is opposition but it is more passive. MRA is opposition that is active. In my opinion, the fact that the MRAs haven't really achieved much doesn't take away from the validity of their efforts.

Just my $0.02.

Good post. But there is another key difference between MRM and MGTOW.

MRM wants to change the laws so that 'happily ever after' relationships are fairer to men. As such they want the imbalances of divorce courts, access to children and lost of money in the event of a break-up changed.

Whereas for most MGTOW (and PUA) - you couldn't pay them enough money in the world to sign up to the 'marriage-mortgage-kids' life script.

So - it could be argued that MRM is trying to change society to help keep alive the 'blue pill' dreams of yesteryear.

Whereas MGTOW and PUA are no longer interested in what men settled for 50 years ago.

Still - there is alot of overlap in the different groups. And we all tend to support the goals of the others. But I still feel there are some important differences in outlook as well.
