Live with no Regrets

It's one of those cheesy piece of shit pieces of " Advice" that girls reiterate to each other & post on Facebook to justify their bad decisions.

It is impossible to live a life without regrets. Point is not to get hung up on it too much that it affects your future progress.

I use similar rhetoric to justify my shameful sluttiness while sober. Oh wait.

You replied.

I made the conscious decision to leave as little context in the OP, so that people could make an answer for themselves if they decided to reply to the thread.

Regardless, I will add a little context now.

For the past couple weeks I have been thinking about what it means to live without regrets. Essentially, to live the life you would live if fear was not present.

This line of thinking was sparked by this quote:
"It was a high counsel that I once heard given to a young person, 'Always do what you are afraid to do.'" – Ralph Waldo Emerson

So many people live lives constructed by fear. They are too afraid to live how they truly want to live, so they resign themselves to the path in life that was given to them. This continues until they reach their bitter end.

Luckily, this forum is filled with men who did not resign themselves to the life that was given to them, so that is why I am asking this question.

For those of you who live your life the way you want to live it:
What was the mindset behind your approach to live?

Ultimately, I am a curious person. I like to learn about people, and the way they live. If any of you guys have good stories, or thoughts on the subject. Feel free to share them.
