Mississippi Gulf Coast Mini-Datasheet

This datasheet will focus on the Bay St. Louis area through Biloxi, Mississippi portion of the Gulf Coast of the US state of Mississippi. This metro area has about 400,000 people.

Known as one of the deep south's casino destinations only an hour drive away from New Orleans (the other being Tunica, Mississippi), the Mississippi Gulf Coast offers lots of options for casino gaming. These casinos also happen to be where a lot of the better partying spots are located as well. There is also a yellow sand beach throughout the entire coast, where these casino resorts are located.

Accommodations:

Beau Rivage - High-end casino resort located on the beach in Biloxi, MS.

Hard Rock - Similar to all Hard Rock casinos and located on the beach not far from Beau Rivage.

Grand Casino Biloxi - A casino resort on the beach farther east.

IP Casino - Not on the beach but is a nice lower-stakes casino.

New Orleans hotels, then drive east an hour or so.

Daygame:

Beach game here is more or less family/couples oriented. There are some events, however, that are worth a visit. There's a mall on the beach as well where people stock up on items then go across the street. Some talent exists there. Each Sunday at the Hard Rock Cafe, there is a segment called, "Detox," where everyone is drinking and partying at the pool. 21+ The bad part is that it ends at 6:00 pm and it is on a Sunday.

The other event is Black Beach Spring Break each April. Think Memorial Day Miami but with way less expensive cars and fatter women (Mississippi is the fattest state per capita in the US, haha). If you are not into that scene, then don't knock it just because. I don't think it is bad and is worth a visit.

Nightlife:

Beau Rivage - There's a club on the interior where live bands oftentimes cover American classics, otherwise they would play top40. This is a place where I have met Russian models who were there for promotions. This is a place where the majority of women are tourists. If you set your logisitics right, you should be able to pull something to the room since it is all in one building. High-end restaurants are in the interior as well.

Overall, this is a casino destination with considerably less to offer than a Vegas or Atlantic City. I think it is worth a night or two if you are on an extended vacay in New Orleans and are longing for the beach.

What about restaurants?

I know there has got to be some good food up in there.

What about Blues venues?

Yeah. I'm here now but not sure which sheet to leave this on.. Port St and Slidell are gold for decent girls and in Louisiana don't go south of belle chasse to try to meet girls at any level.

Lafayette has more and better Cajun girls than Houma.

Alexandria and Monroe have some surprising talent but all these towns are very clannish and social circle oriented

El Mech means dont go into the marshes south of NOLA. He's 100 % right its weird and inbred down there

It really goes way beyond that to bizzaro world. There's shit there stashed in the swamps like homeland security heliports and bunkers that people working on oilrigs stay at. The swamps are not real on the streets you need a boat to socialize then you need to pull past the heavy adoulile via water landing to get to the local girls unless you have a baller style helicopter.

It is a restaurant wasteland outside the casino resorts. Shitty beach restaurants dot the coast. Otherwise, it is your average 'Merican staples: Chilis, TGIFridays, and so on.

A lot of those small towns are clannish. Problem is too you won't be exotic from all the years of offshore workers streaming through. Just avoid.

Those swamps have held secrets for years. Its part of the iron curtain. When it falls there will be no way out. The quickest way out of the U.S. is through the GOM to the islands, and they got that covered at all points.

I remember meeting a semi-homeless man in Alexandria, LA at a gas station. He asked to borrow $20.00 bucks and said he'd pay me back the next week.....

Lafeyette is 3 hours from the MS Gulf Coast. Johnston Street is the main strip. Check out ULL's campus and bars nearby. It used to be the #1 party school in the late 90s. Don't have much else buddy.

No problem, I appreciate it. Just trying to figure out where I look for an apartment. I'll probably end up trying to live around the college at first.

i can probably give a little insight on this. i kinda spent a lot of time down there as a kid. My parents worked at John C Stenis Space Center. lots of federal workers, people who worked on oil rigs, etc.. They lived in Bay St Louis, Gulfport, and Diamonhead. Diamonhead was an upscale community full of retirees and young couples that sits on 2 golf courses. Living was very cheap, but I think Katrina changed everything. My parents went through Katrina and rode it out well, considering the circumstances. Mississippi gulf coast was hit just as bad if not worse than New Orleans. And then it was the oil spill. They just cant catch a break. a lot of people got sick, if they stuck around. but i don't know about now, but before it all the bad happened, it was cheap good living. Pass Christian is a beautiful old gulf beach town. the fishing was great, very muddy water but i dont know if they fish are still good to eat or what. Chandelier Islands were an offshore island chain that would be a great place to take the boat and fish and camp for the weekend, but caught the brunt of the oil spill. I fished multiple huge oil rigs in the Gulf during the 90's and caught King Mackerel and Bonita that were out of this world. Miss Gulf Coast are where Ole Miss and Miss State girls go to party, besides places like Fort Walton and Destin that have nicer beaches. having a boat is beneficial, some of the casinos have a dock so you can motor right up, tie off and gamble.

I'm in Lafayette right now. I fucking forgot how much fun Louisiana is. It's oyster/crawfish season and I'm hammering down on as much as I can. Me and a friend owned a strip club last night, but it was costly going on that level of baller status. Two of the girls are stopping by when they get off work. The chicks here are super friendly, same as Mississippi. A guy with a game from out of town could clean house here.

These chicks have dark hair and brown eyes. If you're into that sort of thing, this place is for you.

Ali:
I notice there are a surprising amount of Italians from that area, obviously nowhere near as many as where I'm from, but more than most places.

That would explain the predominance of dark features and olive skin. They grow the girls here right. You'll find some of the funnest, most down to earth chicks in the world right here. The casino's all over the state are goldmines. I'm going to one tomorrow night to try and pull.

New Orleans had a lot of Italian immigrants around the same time as NYC did, there's even a subset of older guys in NOLA that speak with what sounds like a Brooklyn accent. Italian mafia is still around behind the scenes too. I ran around briefly with a smokeshow Italian-descended chick who grew up in the swamps outside Lafayette, girl was cool and could probably wrestle alligators and all. Never sealed the deal though.
