It's like listening to your voice recording, you're like 'that ain't fucking me, that voice is queer as fuck'.

Same with photos. I think I look damn good in the mirror but I know that I look shit in photos. Which is the true representative? I fear the photos are. I hence try never to have my photo taken so I always think of myself as the person I see in the mirror. It keeps my confidence and self esteem up believing I look handsome even when the reality is I'm nothing of the sort.

Every single girl that I meet online says I look better in person than in my pictures.

Lol at guerrilla getting banned. Was it because of this thread?

I get that a lot too (first part).

Guerrilla left New Orleans for Lafayette. My wing met him and said he was a bitch. Proof is in the pudding: 643 posts in two months (0 rep points lol Gandt). Pure armchair. Lafayette may not have the sinse of NOLA, but it has feminine Cajun girls that can be sexy as hell.

I've been doing convict conditioning for four months and he results are mind boggling, who knew being disciplined about working out could make you look feel better? I wish someone told me sooner [Image: tongue.gif]

Understand that when you look in the mirror, you are seeing a different image than what you'd see in a photograph. A mirror has you left on arm on your left, a photo has it on the right.

Faces are not perfectly symmetrical, and you are used to seeing yourself in the mirror.

So, when you see yourself in a photo, you are looking at a version of yourself that you aren't used to seeing. This probably creates a cognitive dissonance because you likely expecting the mirror and photo image to look the same.

I think it would behoove most players to get their mental image of themselves in line with what the world actually sees. Do this by videotaping yourself.

It's normal. I'm a 9 on the face, yet in pictures I look like shit. It's because we aren't used to seeing every little imperfection we have, and when we look at the non reversed picture, it brings them out.

If you want to see this effect in real time, put two mirrors next to each other, and put them at an angle so you can see yourself as how others see you.

Taking a picture of yourself looking in the mirror is a good way to make your self look good. It's basically a pic of what you look like in the mirror.

You just have to out alpha the fact that the pic has you holding the camera or phone in it.

Another little tip is to change your frame when people go to snap a pic of you. Instead of thinking negative thoughts about how bad you look in pics have confident thoughts of how good looking you are.

Find what ways you look better in pics. Chin down or chin up. Feet pointing to the left of feet pointing to the right. Looking off camera or looking directly into the lens etc.

Like most things though stop caring about it. If a girl likes you and your alpha ways she will overllook a lot of pety shit like taking bad pics.

Girls always tell me I have a great smile...in photos I look like a cheese faced retard. I think holding the smile for three seconds before they snap the pic fucks it up and it gets all distorted.

This happens to everyone we all think we sound different than what the recording sounds like. I remember years ago doing a school project which involved interviewing someone with a camera and sound equipment. After the interview was done I edited it on a computer and showed him the finished interview (I had to show him the video before presenting it as part of the project). First thing he said was “bullshit thats my voice, I don’t sound like that!”.
He was really angry and actually accused me of tampering with his voice during the editing process, as if this would be an easy thing to do.

Apparently this effect is because when we talk we hear our voice as we are speaking, so we also feel the vibrations of the jaw bone and cartilage around the ears which slightly distorts the sound that we ourselves hear as apposed to what others hear. So when we listen to ourselves talk from a recording it sounds slightly or in some cases very different than what we think we sound like.

Girls should be an ornament to the eye, not an ache in the ear.
