Make Money and Game

Easily the best game move I have made since moving to Canada:

Start working in a Coffee Shop

And I am not referring to Starbucks. I am talking about a joint with style in the right part of town.

90% of staff are cute girls. 70-90% of customers are girls aged 18-30ish.

Easy to game

You are already warmed up from talking to customers all day. You already have lots of quick funny liners and things to talk about. Discuss your new Chai Latte technique or recommend that new dish you can make up.

Suss out their story- Are they in town for a few days or going to University nearby.

Many girls stay for around 2-3 hours - Easy to spit some game between orders and lots of customers come back regularly.

Situational Social Value

You are running the show. Well I am anyway. Work the front counter like you own the place. Bust out some coffees and tasty dishes like Gorden Ramsey. Get a good playlist going on the speakers and you are pretty much the owner, DJ, chief and bartender all in one. Girls like knowing that cool guy who works in that cool coffee shop.

Hassle free

No paying for drinks, cock blocking, white knights, last calls, blaring music or fat friends looking to go dance. Many girls come alone and are very easily approached.

Life skills

Improve your cooking, wine, coffee and people skills. Also a nice little introduction into the restaurant industry. Get tight with the owner and show him you are capable of running the show. Chances are he will make a good business mentor and have some solid social connections.

Accessable
Do up a resume and apply. Easy.

You are making money instead of spending it
Not the best wage but easy to fit around a proper career with some part time hours a couple nights a week. Also I get 50% off on everything so I just make up my own food instead of cooking at home. Its actually cheaper.

Social Glue
I got a cute secretaries number the other day while visiting my accountant. Instead of taking time out to meet her at a bar ( where I have roughly the same value of everyone else) I tell her to pop by while I am working. She walks in, I make her a drink, joke with the other cute girls who work there and then tell one of the girls to take over till and I sit down with her for 30 minutes. Its social proof, pre-selection and value all in one. Beats nightlife hands down.

Quality of Girls
I am getting numbers off some of the cutest girls I have talked to so far in Canada. I am talking about them handing me there number too. Many don't go out much and are a lot more feminine and sexy then what you meet in the clubs. A lot of more then happy to flirt.

So go make up a resume, work a couple of nights a week and enjoy some easy success. At the worst your still making 12 an hour plus tips...

Actually if someone (moderator) can change the title to: Working and Gaming in a Coffee Shop - I would appreciate it.

I tried editing it but seems like you cant change the title once its posted.

I am not a fan of vague titles.

Awesome advice. Seeing as I'm also off the rigs from spring breakup, this'll be perfect to keep income flowing + work on my social skills.

Is your coffee shop nearby any colleges/universities? I may start looking around nearby the local universities here.

Higher Level of The Game:

Get a friend that works at a joint like this.

Benefits:

1. You don't have to work there.
2. You can leave what ever you want.
3. You don't have to make a paltry wage.
4. You get all the benefits with no downside.

I have written on this before.

I learned this move as a kid:

Summertime: Brick and Mortar Street Game

I agree.

Thing is that right now my cash flow is kind of low having only worked a couple of months on the rigs. Next year though that is what I will be aiming for. I am already in with the owner and could do this if I wanted but I kind of need the work right now as well.

Its more of an intermediate game post for someone looking to keep their cash flow up while still getting some solid game hours in each week. But I definetly see where youre coming from G.

Yeah, just been reading and working out since I got off last week. Thinking about getting a condo here too nearby the downtown area so logistics-wise, this may be a good setup.

Similar to being a bartender.

My boy works at Starbucks near a university. He gets laid like crazy.
