Woman would have supported Kevin Ware unlike the men did...

It is nuts how much of this stuff you notice on a day to day basis when you become attuned to it. I cant believe how far out of reality these fem based warriors (men and woman) actually live.

"They were shaken, clearly, by their teammate’s horrific injury. But, with one exception, the only people who rushed to Ware’s side were those paid to do it.

Let’s imagine for a moment that Kevin was Kate and her teammates wore sports bras.

The first instinct for most female athletes would have been to help, no matter how unsettling the dangling ankle. Coaches likely would have had to ask players to back up to give their teammate room.

That’s what happened in 2009, when American female sprinter Muna Lee fell during a relay at the world track and field championships in Berlin. Her teammates crouched next to her as trainers saw to the source of her screams. Lee’s teammates even followed the gurney that rolled her away, despite officials’ aggressive efforts to stop them."

Muna Lee pulled her hamstring for reference.

I don't want to give that moron page hits, but I've had to in order to give this ink to the original 'article'.

Just IMAGINE, if this were a male journalist writing about women in this manner:

It's refreshing to see the comments section thoroughly slams this piece of 'work'.

That's a bunch of crap. You know that when an injury is that serious, dog piling next to the guy is going to hinder first aid efforts. Letting the guys trained and paid to do it to take over is probably exactly what these guys were told, and I say it's a good thing. If no professionals were on site, you could bet that it would have turned out 100% differently.

Imagine if twenty guys walked up there to hold his hand, and the paramedics on site were slowed down by a minute or more. Kevin Ware could have died of an embolism.

What an absolute retard. That is officially the most retarded thing I've heard, and I remember reading that a kid got suspended from school for pointing a half eaten bit of food at another kid and saying "bang".

Seriously, this kind of shit is why the human race doesn't deserve to live on this Earth. I sincerely hope this fucktard doesn't create spawn to further plague this planet with idiocy.

How the fuck can anyone create a blog post on this?

It's pretty standard fare especially in the case of a serious sports injury for the team and coach to stand back and let the training staff do their work. How does having 10 guys standing over the guy when he's excruciating pain help the matter? It doesn't. If the author actually watched the game she would know that the players were not only clearly hurting for their teammate, but the post game interviews showed that they essentially dedicated the game to their fallen teammate, completely destroying their opponent in the process and continually making references to him in the process. This putrid, agenda-driven sensationalistic journalism underscores perfectly why sports journalism in particular is so far in the shitter that the writers from yesteryear must be rolling in their graves. Talk about reaching to the high heavens.

Standard fare from a feminist seeking to elevate the esteem of women.

We know through major disasters like the WTC on fire, cars of fire, collapsed buildings, etc, that men rush into dangerous situations to save people.

Anecdotally on the manosphere, I've encountered some guy who observed a rolledcar and with minor flames evident, have a womsn yell at him "aren't you going to rush in and save them?" despite this woman not putting herself in harms way.

For kevin ware, whilst he is in obvious pain, her is not incurring an situation where the harm gets worse. In facts its preferable to have non-qualified people not get in the way, even if their interference is 'caring'.

Again, I understand a woman's nature here, wanting to nurture an injured man, but the sotry once again is a narrative that elevates the virtues of women, and demonises men as lesser for lacking those same inherent traits.

This is sexism, yet we live in a world where it won't be called out.

You don't run to the injured guy, you get out of the way and let the professionals handle it. If this guy was an athlete he would know this. He didn't need empathy, he needed to get his leg stabilized, and watched for signs of shock.

There's a reason that we hire trained professionals to deal with medical care, and that reason is that the average man or woman will often do more harm than good.

There's also a reason that most bloggers don't ever get published in reputable newspapers and magazines, and that reason is that much of their writing is uninspired, false, or more irritating than interesting. The best way to deal with that article is to simply ignore it.

Yeah, typical female narcissism. The important thing is her feelings and that she act on them and be supported and applauded for doing so. Letting the professionals treat the guy's injury is secondary.

On a serious note though, Ware's team mates reacted like a bunch of pussies.

I guess the author missed the part where the opposing coach (Coach K) was crying. How his opponents were in disbelief. If those chicks were climbing Mt. Everest, they all would have died. These men had a job to do. Did it suck that their boy went down? Fuck yeah. Was the game over? Fuck no. What better way to honor your boy than to go out and win it all?

This is why nobody respects the WNBA.

Edit: I rest my case

Here's Muna Lee's injury. We should point out that Lee's relay-mates were done competing for the day, compared with Louisville players having to get right back on the court. And also, minor difference, Ware's leg shattered, and there was blood and bone and horror. Lee pulled a hamstring.

The author of the article is a moron.

A bunch of college kids surrounding him would have been counter productive. What would they have done besides block medical personnel from getting to him?

The best thing they could do is to let them stretcher him out as quickly and safely as possible so that he could have SURGERY(contrary to popular belief surgery not well wishes fix broken bones). Then wish him well in the hospital the next day.

Hate to be a contrarian here, but is it totally unreasonable to think that women would be more maternal in such a situation?

Feminists want to frame this in terms of steely courage, fortitude, and the like, but really it may be just that women have an instinct towards nurturing much more than men.

You're better off with your fellow man if it comes time to be pulled into a foxhole. But who do you want tending your wounds?
