I notice that the Japanese Barbie is missing from the picture. I heard she's holding a cephalopod. Why, I have no idea... I wonder if they let you bring those on the subway over there.

The Thai Barbie evidently works in a bar. You have to pay $ every time you want to take her out of the box and play with her.

The Australian one comes with a koala. Better that than a stingray.

Eastern European Barbie hangs out with this guy, but his name isn't Ken.

One of the problems with ethnic media (or racial media) is that they have to keep finding offenses to justify their existence. After clicking on the above link, I found the following story, entitled "Americans Embrace Latino Culture To The Ire of Some, Panel Says."

If you're bigoted they complain. If you love their culture they also complain. (And I'm saying this as someone who has a very ethnic name and is from an ethnic background -- so this is partially self-criticism, not prejudice.)
