In Miami, you regularly deal with 25 year-olds with 3 kids from 2 different dudes, so that whole she's over 30, don't fuck with her shit, misses me. I give her a +1 for being that age and not having any kids and the baggage that comes with it, because if you did want to be with her, she has some flexibility in her life to actually take on a relationship and its inevitable developments, if that's what she wants to do.

The reason I mention that is based on her profile, I think she's one of those cute girls who spends most of her time hiding her looks and is not actively caught up in social situations, hence why she is on Date Lab.

It was only a matter of time before someone went to the let's-see-what-you're-banging argument (what I termed Upton's Law in another thread). I dissect my own bangs in this same way. If I'm banging a girl with a torn-up grill, I take note. If she's a butterface, I acknowledge it. If she's getting bonus points that are Tuthmosis-specific (something that most guys wouldn't consider a plus), I recognize that. I just call balls and strikes, and don't let my emotion get involved. Maybe I under-rate my bangs as a result, but I don't call an objective 6 an 8 just because I would (or did) hit it. Keep in mind I've have repeatedly stated I would bang this girl, which is all you're saying too--"good to go for something short-term" is basically saying "bangable." Still, it didn't prevent Upton's Law from rearing its ugly head.

No one is saying we wouldn't bang, we're just saying it's not that far-fetched that the guy may have had better talent lined up. DC is bad--in terms of attitudes, girl-rating inflation, and sausage festing--but the guy may travel to other cities. Plus, there is actually talent in DC (it just thinks its a point or two higher than it is and it's relatively scarce), there's no telling whether he's getting access to these better girls.

A lot of guys' judgments of the girl seem to be tainted by their judgment of the guy. Like the commenters on DateLab, they don't seem to think he can do better--whether that's because he's in DC or because he doesn't fit their image of a baller.

For me it's definitive, he's not a player.

1. They don't look like a couple at all. She is dressed really for anything, he looks like he's ready for rib night at the Ale House. You could take her to any spot on SoBe or Brickell, and with how she looks, you'll walk right in (if you look proper as well).

2. He's bitching about her talking. Players want women to talk, as long as they are talking about themselves and not trivial bullshit like Kourtney and Kim Take Miami, why? Because the more they disclose about themselves, the more you get into their heads, you can get an idea of where they've been, where they are, and where they're going. This is important because it lets you know how to play going forward, you either put your foot on the gas or you hit the brakes. Furthermore, the more talking she does about herself, means the less talking you have to do about yourself, so she can create her own fantasy in her mind about who and what you are, which is usually going to be better than the reality.

3. He picked up on that she was nervous, but didn't do anything to ease it. A player makes a woman feel comfortable in any situation. I would have pointed out that was she was nervous, made a comment about me being so as well (even if I'm not), suggested we get a glass of wine, and then directed her to continue on talking about whatever she was talking about as it pertained to her or moved the conversation to there if it wasn't there before.

4. She's a dead giveaway to a girl who doesn't spend a lot of time in bars and clubs. Her interests are different, her personality doesn't suggest it, neither do her mannerisms. A player recognizes this is a plus, because girls like this are some of the easiest to pick up. You run some tight game on them, and things just happen, why? Because they're not used to being in those kind of situations, and they're vulnerable to someone who knows how to make them feel comfortable, assure them this is something different, and let them rationalize their actions away.

5. Dude didn't even get a hug by the end of the night. No physical contact with the girl whatsoever. I'm able to get little kisses and hugs from chicks just from dancing 4 minutes of bachata with them, and he couldn't even set it up after a few hours of spending time with a girl who seemed to be attracted to him in some way. He said it was awkward, dude it's because you are awkward. A fisherman can always spot another fisherman from afar, I'm looking at him, and I don't see a fisherman.

All of your observations are on point, but this one in particular strikes me because I make it a point to do this. This is more helpful in long game - you're spending time with her or communicating via phone, online, etc. over a period of time and taking both mental and physical notes of info she's giving up about herself. I do this with all of my internationals for future reference - they give you the blueprint for how to get to them. I give up VERY little about myself, and most of them don't press for a lot of info. If I see fit, I give them a little bit more, but usually you can save that for when you're with them in person.

There is a lot of speculation on this thread that even I am guilty of.

The dude may not be a player, but he didn't have terrible game either. He was able to build attraction and present himself well even though he seemed to not be as into her as she was into him. He didn't make any real mistakes. How many times have we seen simps falling over themselves on date lab making mistake after mistake? Not this guy. If he wanted this chick, he could have had her. His "too busy to call" excuse is a nice way of saying he wasn't interested without saying he wasn't interested.

In the end, he was probably just not that into her. The dude passed on her, and that is that. The chick is no supermodel, so I don't get the "he passed on a great opportunity" talk. Sometimes, things are just as simple as that.

I think like most here I would handle her all things equal. She rates a 1 on the binary scale of 0-1. Obviously if I had nothing better to do, or even if I did but still had some time on my hands, it's an easy decision.

But, if I have to deal with work, the gym, going out, friends, family, and a couple of girls already on rotation that are better, I can see where I wouldn't think it's worth the effort at that time. Or, if she seems crazy.

The guy probably has a busy life, which is good.
