Domestic flights from Bangkok to Phuket

I am planning to buy the tickets online on my own for domestic flights from Bangkok to Phuket. Can you please recommend a domestic airlines? (please note it has to be reliable as I will be connecting to international flight on the way back).

If you can get a good deal, try and opt for Bangkok Airways - by far better than most Western airlines! They got an awesome lounge to hang out in before departure.

Air Asia and Thai (I think they are both flying on that stretch as well) are also solid options.

I can vouch for Bangkok Airways- very cheap, and it helps with the free wi-fi at the lounge and the free food also.

I connected to an international flight with them the same day too, and it was on time. Still, anytime you are changing airliners the same day, you need to remember that if you if the miss the second flight because your first flight was late, you are screwed for the second flight- which sucks if you are connecting to an expensive international ticket. You also need to remember any airline can be late. So if you are connecting to an international flight, you should leave 5 hours of layover time at BKK at a minimum.

I flew One Two Go Airlines within Thailand. Price was good, esp given that we booked last minute, and everything seemed fine to me.

Actually nevermind, I just looked them up and turns out that they have a pretty bad safety record and banned from flying over EU airspace. I'm glad I made it out alive!

I think most regional airlines in Asia have that EU ban. I wouldn't take it that seriously. For instance, I flew Philippine airlines a lot of times- they haven't had an accident since 1998, but they are still banned from the EU.

Air Travel is still the safest way to get anywhere. There are all of a let of other things that are far, far more dangerous when traveling- riding in crazy local traffic, getting some weird disease, having some crazy foreign chick tell you she's pregnant-a plane crash is the last thing you should worry aobut.

Most Russians use Air Asia.
