Vote For the Next Bond Girl!

Funny article from Yahoo:

Quote:Quote:

Many actresses have been vocal about their desire to be a Bond girl. But who knew Rachel Weisz, who is Bond's real-life gal, wanted to be one, too. When Weisz, who is married to Bond actor Daniel Craig, was asked by Esquire UK whether she would take on such a part, she said, "I'd like to! I wouldn't say no. I'm not a snob about entertainment." And hey, they'd get to spend more time with each other if they worked together. Win-win.

Out of the above, I voted none. But if I had only those to pick from, it would be Weisz, because despite her age, at least she has a bit of class compared to the rest of 'em.

Best comment on the article from "The Truth".

Sarah Jessica Parker can play James Bond's horse.

I gotta feeling we know who dropped that comment. [Image: idea.gif]

Rachel Weisz is the best actress of all of the above, that's why I voted for her. She's still good looking enough also. I always felt that one of the major casting mistakes in the series was Denise Richards in "The World Is Not Enough." She didn't have the weight as an actress, and they cast her as a nuclear physicist or something, which made it more ludicrous. Looks is part of the formula, but they also have to have a certain presence on screen.

I'm glad Megan Foxx isn't listed.

Side note they pegged her as April in the teenage mutant ninja turtle movie haha.

Yes, even Kristen Stewart has been vocal about her wish to kiss Bond on film. But when Daniel Craig heard about her 007 urge, he jokingly protested, "No, she's in 'Twilight'!"

Apparently Daniel Craig thought the same thing.

What about Kate Upton? At least her response was humble:

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl Kate Upton is a tad more sheepish when it comes to revealing her Bond girl aspirations. "It's a very prestigious title, and it would be a very cool role… I would need to go through some intense training to learn all the Bond girl moves," she said last year.

Of course you can compare to:

With her very classy response to being a Bond girl:

So far Aniston hasn't had luck landing the part, but she let her intention be known in 2009, telling Elle, "‘I'd love to do an action movie. James Bond! Glamour! Daniel Craig! Sh---loads of fun!"

"Shitloads of fun?" Wow. Plus her face is starting to resemble Sarah Jessica Parker.

Bond girls are supposed to be nobodies. All of them, with the exception of Halle Berry, had very little acting fame or recognition. Being a Bond girl is supposed to MAKE their career.

None of the above.

Agreed. They shouldn't be very well-known. Plus 3/7 of them are on the Return of Kings 10 most overrated list.

Rachael Weisz: Plausible. If they're going to cast an over-40 to appeal to aging women, she could be an acceptable choice.

Kate Upton: Bad idea. Virtually any role she could fill would likely be done better by an equally pretty no-name.

Jennifer Aniston: No.

Jessica Alba: The only face on the list to have ever rated a 10, she's unfortunately a bit over-exposed. If there was a role for a famous actress, singer, or like, a politician's wife, she might work.

Kirsten Stewart: Haha.

Samantha Barks: Pretty, young, talented, up-and-coming. For a classic bond girl, she's the only legitimate contender on the list.

Rihanna: Plausible because she has a distinctive, unusual look that might interest a filmmaker. But unlikely.

I want to say most Bond girls have been in there early 30s. There's a level of maturity and class to them. I think most of the chicks on that list would whine and cry after Bond pumped and dumped them.

I'd go with Minka Kelly. Not super established and could pull off a classy broad role.

There best bet is finding some EE chick.
