Feminism taking its toll in China

I think human romance is going the way of the Dodo.
For most of history - women have pretended to love men. When it fact what they loved was children, security and status. With security and status ultimately being for the benefit of any future children.
So - basically - women only care about children.
For most of history - men genuinely did love women. Because men are idealists. Which is great when it comes to science, art and philosophy. But is shit when it comes to not being manipulated by women.
As the old saying goes - 'Men love women. Women love children. And children love hamsters.'
So - once men free them from the delusions of 'love' they can start to celebrate sex more openly. In all its glories. I look forward to the day there is a strip club and a brothel on every high-street.
Looking to the future. I see women cutting through the bullshit and getting what they want.
And Men freeing themselves though the bullshit and growing up. With an emphasis on sleeping with the hottest girls possible. Which is the only thing of value a woman can really offer a man.
The thing is. Women don't actually like men. And now that they don't actually need us anymore (for security, status or reproduction) this will become more and more apparent.
The truth will set you free.
Or should that be - Enjoy the decline!

Apparently, this is all a socially constructed "petty and juvenile" attitude that we all espouse.
Wrong lady, this is a biologically ingrained instinct. It is truly amazing how social programming can change our natural order in such short order.

Women still need men to maintain civilization... Society is not ruby HR drones alone. Someone needs to innovate, solve tech problems, create and sustain the infrastructure etc.

Cardguy, I've had those same thoughts a handful of times as well. Hoping that it's not so cut and dry though.

I have a friend who is 30 and 'leftover', and her parents pressure, and she says she doesn't want to marry, and enjoys the high life of making money, partying and hanging with her friends...but the sense of dread whenever the topic comes up is palpable in her voice.
I'm also loving the hamster-wheeling in the comments (especially the one Speakeasy posted). The biggest difference between China and the West isn't the attitude that younger, hotter, tighter = better (EVERY country knows and thinks this), it's that in China, you can talk about this without having to worry about rustling the jimmies of the feminist-military complex.
Q: How many Chinese girls are turning 18 every day?
A: A shitload of them.

Meanwhile, the state-run media keep up a barrage of messages aimed at just this sort of "picky" educated woman.
"Pretty girls do not need a lot of education to marry into a rich and powerful family. But girls with an average or ugly appearance will find it difficult," reads an excerpt from an article titled, Leftover Women Do Not Deserve Our Sympathy, posted on the website of the All-China Federation of Women in March 2011.
It continues: "These girls hope to further their education in order to increase their competitiveness. The tragedy is, they don't realise that as women age, they are worth less and less. So by the time they get their MA or PhD, they are already old - like yellowed pearls."

The single child policy in china tilted the balance in women's favor, the cutoff age to be considered leftover has increased, and even if they are considered leftover, as long as they lower their standards, they are still able to find a partner simply because there is a huge surplus of cocks

Also in Chinese culture it is perfectly acceptable to make comments about a girl's weight.
