I thought this thread was going to be about the singularity.
I've been reading about nanotubes(basically graphene. England stealing from the Japanese?) for a few years now. Have they found a cost effective way to mass produce it yet?
I remember when Aerogel started gaining more popularity. People were lauding it as a revolutionary product that would help save billions annually in energy costs. Way too expensive to manufacture. The same with the hydrogen fusion reactor. Great concept, but not really applicable yet.
