Skateboarding

I did a search and couldn't find anything, so I hope this isn't a dupe.

Any skaters here?

I skateboarded in my teens. Had a lot of fun.

Quit when I was 18 because of too many injuries.

I tried to skate a bit again in Argentina, and it was a blast!

Planning to start up again now. Really good sport for your balance.

I used to skate an loved it.. then I broke my ankle in 4 places on a half pipe.

Never really fully picked up skating again...

Yep, did it from about 12-18 then quit when I went to uni. Haven't been on one for a couple of years now. Me and my mates made a DVD when we were in high school which is good for nostalgia. I'm taller now so it hurts more when I fall off. Really fucked my left ankle up though, got the footage on my laptop too which I'll upload to youtube and see if I can get it on here.

haha, yeah that'll do it [Image: tongue.gif]

If I'll get back to it I'll stick to small ramps and flat ground ^^

Yeah, I prefer going to a car park with loads of little manual pads dotted around the place, a few things to grind and ollie over. Those summer evenings are great doing that with your mates just chilling in the sun drinking and skating.

I have a ramp 100 meters from my house back home, so I'll get a decent amount of practice in this summer.

Probably have to skate in secret for a few weeks. Embarrasing to be seen at my current level...

Haha I hear ya. Got a tidy little outdoor park around the corner infested with kids who are boss little skaters. I dare not go.

It's to trendy now days. Trendy as in if you go to a skate park, dozens of kids will be there and not even skateboarding. Just sitting around with their skateboards trying to look cool.
