Dude, I have a PHd in Broscience!

My expert opinion is -- if you want to remove belly fat and expose your stomach muscles, you shouldn't go to bed on a full stomach.

All or most dietitians, nutritionists, personal trainers and weight loss experts would agree.

Going to bed in a full stomach is a bad idea if you want a 6-pack.

lol like I said, if your particular issue is late night binging than a hard and fast rule like don't eat late can be a useful tool...I see it with my buddies, late night 11 pm they're hungry they're not up for cooking a healthy meal nor is it what they're craving late so they'll order a pizza or go thru drive thru...if that's what they're reaching for then yeah go to bed hungry...but if you want the quickest way to a 6pack start eating healthily before bed and you'll get there faster...and you'll find maintaining that 6 pack a hell of a lot easier as well.

If you talk to a dietician and nutritionist you'll get a talking to about the food pyramid and they'd laugh a low carb diet or high carb diet out of the water...you talk to a personal trainer and you'll get a different response...it's like dr's discounting holisitic medicines cause they're not what they're taught so they push what they're taught and comfortable with, we all know some holistic medicines have their place... just cause something goes against what we've traditionally believed, it doesn't mean it's wrong...science is science...the studies show what they show...Lean gains like another poster mentioned is a great site in that he breaks down the science so easily it can be understood by most anybody...

Great advice everybody. I think I am going to start with some IF in addition to cutting down on carbs and alcohol.

My current workout routine is some interval training cardio 5-6 days a week and lifting 2-3 days a week. I figured since I want definition I should hit cardio hard. Problems with this idea?

Is it a bad idea to workout twice a day? I do cardio in the morning and weights after work. Also is it necessary to have at least one day of rest a week?

So we're going to pretend like everyone just has a chiseled washboard hiding under their body fat?

I wouldn't go too nuts on the cardio. Maybe one or two days of sprinting per week and take it easy on legs for one of your three lifting days. It's easier to eat less than work out more.

If you have the time, this is the best way to do it.

it all comes down to macros at the end of the day.NOT what times you eat your food.

Diet is simple: No matter what you eat (ever see those adventure racers go for days just eating Snicker's bars?)... Just make sure caloric output is more than caloric intake. Easy. Obviously, that could mean eating an ice cream instead of a proper meal, but if you really want the ice cream... Or going out boozing with the boys--all those calories must be accounted for, and if you're trying to lose weight, you're either going to have to workout like a mofo or skip a meal. Calories are calories. If you want to trim down, caloric output must exceed caloric intake. There is no way to avoid this fact.

To develop your abs, focus on planks and bridges. That coupled with a good diet and you're golden.

I'd second that, I knocked the cardio on the head a month ago, continuing to eat a low carb diet and weight training 5 days a week and I've seen no increase in bodyfat from an aesthetic point of view.

My bodybuilding friends swear by Clenbuterol for getting under 10% b.f.

I had a non-bodybuilding friend try it, and he lost 40 pounds in a 6 weeks.

My buddy used it to prep for his contest. Worked great for him. I've considered it a few times

OK I read about it and it basically sounds like super-ephedrine (also for asthma as a decongestant and bronchiodilator). You can get ephedrine over the counter but this stuff is rx only.

Are there like bodybuilder drug dealers with asthma that peddle this stuff?

Not to be played with for the average fat fuck...it's tough on the heart and leads to nasty cramping...it can be very effective for contest prep but for the average guy, getting to 10% should be very achievable without it. If you're not a healthy individual to start, don't start here. If you're at 10% need to get sub 10 into 6% range then unless you're genetically gifted you'll need some sort of chemical help and things like t3/clen etc are the difference makers in conjunction with other things... A guy who loses 40 pounds on it, shouldn't be on it, way too fat, could've lost that naturally

Nothing quite that shady. People buy them from so-called "research chemical" sites. PM me if you want a link to clen my buddies have all liked.

Don't take any advice from people on this forum unless they provide pics of their six pack abs with "RVF" written on it.

You could try eating paleo and lifting heavy weights. I could see my abs when I was on paleo, but I can't say that I had enough muscle at the time to really make them pop out like a more advanced weightlifter who's also shredded.

Don't do cardio, do high intensity interval training instead. Also, endless ab crunches aren't going to do you dick if your bodyfat percentage is anywhere above 10%.

1. Workout: what should my routine be like?

45min of cardio 2-3 times a week. Ideally:

1 day jog or run
2 day swimm
3 day bike
4 day eliptical
5 day rest
6 day run
7day rest

PLUS 2 sports per week, soccer game, tennis, golf, surf,whatever....+ stretches + YOGA once a week.

+GYM for weight training 2-3 times a week. Don´t go hardcore on this, it will make you too hungry and you might cheat your diet. You are planning to get huge but ripped.

2: Diet:

No carbs after 2pm, no heavy sugar, 6 meals a day, 20gr of protein on each meal. Stay away from fast food and soda and you will be OK.

You can cheat 1 day a week, dark chocolate, fat free ice cream and organic chips.

What I do If i dont have time to cook:

-Get an expensive blender: put spinach, berries, protein, milk, eggs and drink it in one sip in the morning and before bed.

Control your hunger: Mate or green tea.

Vitamins and minerals for supplements and of course protein shakes, Myofusion chocolate is the best.

3: Other: Any ways to stay motivated?

Look at the mirror everyday take pictures to see results and buy smaller clothes.

STAY FOCUS, with a better body you will get more attention and more compliments, thats motivation by itself!

Dont eat shit, and keep the cardio going. Get good 8 hour night sleep everyday.

I have a strong 6 pack, still drink like a teenager on weekends but I stay focus during the week.

Do this for 3 months and you will see heavy results.

The harder you practice, the luckier you get.

Go vegan for 2 months, shed the fat. Eat raw veggies and fruits that are nutrient dense but calorie poor. While you're doing this, do a morning ab regimen every other day to kick start your metabolism for the day.

Pick 4 ab exercises that will work the entire core region, I start with the Plank and then mix it up.

This combination of shedding fat and building the muscles is how you see abs. Needless to say cut out booze and other sources of empty carby calories.

I'm no expert but surely a vegan diet would be the worst thing to build muscle?

The starving 3rd world childs approach to ab building, nice. Lose any and all muscle and some fat along the way till abs show up then start from scratch and cover them right back up. If you can't get down to abs on a sustainable diet you're doing something wrong.
