Escape Dubai-help!

Hi, My friend is applying for jobs in Dubai. I want to tell him its an awful idea b/c of what I've heard about it and how few women there are.

His main goal is to bang cute girls, but he needs a job to live, of course. He is graduating with a USA degree- aerospace engineering
The guy is from South Asia, is westernized, and a beginner at game.

Any better places for him to find work? Is Europe possible? (He likes european culture/girls).

Thanks for advising- I don't imagine living in dubai surrounded by men will be a good idea.

Dubai is purely for stacking cash. You can make a year's salary in 4-5 months, and you get free housing/food/car/etc. Heard its not too bad for shoring as well.

WIA- For most of men, our time being masters of our own fate, kings in our own castles is short. Even those of us in the game will eventually succumb to ease of servitude rather than deal with the malaise of solitude

Exactly what DVY said: it's a place to get in, make a lot of cash in short amount of time, and get out.

Forget about gaming; I think the ratio is like 10 men for every woman.

It's a safe place and the metro is sparkling clean.

Any advice I can give to my friend about finding a job in Europe instead? He chose a difficult engineering field(aero) and it greatly restricts his job options.

Actually, I've got 2 aerospace engi friends looking for work... tough times. Maybe retrain for a different career?

Have you actually been to Dubai and want to share your experience with him or are you meddling with your friend's life decisions just because you can?

Let the man make his own mistakes in life. That's how people grow.

The friend of mine is a few years younger and still a student. Since I started travelling before he did, he asks for my advice. I'd like to give him good advice and help out. When he knows more about a certain topic, I listen. I think helping friends is a good thing.

Someone else told him Dubai has nice ladies...but I can guess from my own travels that girls in places like that are gonna be p4p. It seems Dubai is a bad place for a guy with beginner game and an entry level job (not rich).

I asked a question about alternative countries for jobs b/c maybe people have experience about it....

I have to agree with Thomas' statement and let the man learn on his own. I know you want to give him a helping hand, but he's gotta jump into these things for himself and really find out what he likes.

Your friend might as well stack some paper up and get ahead of the game financial wise. And if he doesn't like Dubai, the Gulf region is a great launchpad to hit up many other countries for fun.

I wouldn't go there, I have friends there that like it but one lives with a girl and the other has nothing going on.

I guess so. Seems like at least he'll have tasty date fruits and Arabian nuts. Healthy food.

Dubai's not that bad. It's not that great though either. Main problem is it's on the expensive side when it comes to drinking and going out. Also, I found it to be somewhat sprawling, so a car was necessary (but taxis aren't horrendous, I've heard.) I visited with friends for a long weekend and had a blast. Buddy had 2 SNLs, I couldn't close - Bad logistics.

Women there can be gorgeous though. Quite a mix of ethnicities, travelers and residents alike. Generally, too much focus on money for my taste though. As someone else mentioned, it is a good place to make a little money (if you can save) and fly to other places in the region.

What kind of jobs are you referring to in Dubai? Blue collar work?
