Can't Lose My Man Boobs

So, I've always had a strange build...broad shoulders, narrower waist but a layer of belly fat/man boobs. I've been working out, I can squat 250 lbs without breaking a sweat, I've dropped from a 33 to a 31 waist, but my man boobs are the same size. How common is gynecomastia in men? I've noticed my morning hard ons aren't quite what they used to be, but my sex drive hasn't decreased. I am frustrated because they give me self confidence issues, even though I've lost belly fat and am in better physical shape than ever. If it's just needing more cardio or work in the gym, that's cool.

Squatting has nothing to do with your man boobs (though front squats couldn't hurt). Do upper body exercises...bench, inclines, declines, flies, dips, rows, pullups, etc. Add some intensive cardio and you should be good to go. If you don't start noticing a difference after a few months of that, then you may have a problem.

Sounds like you may have a higher than normal estrogen level. Its more and more common these days with all the chemicals in the water, plastics and just about everything you can think of. Go get a simple blood or saliva test. Ask them to look at your estrogen levels, testosterone and free floating testosterone levels.

If in fact you have a higher amount of estrogen in your body it is quite easy to reverse and your body will transform rapidly after.

How would one know if his estrogen level is higher than normal? Are there any signs you can look for??

you can't spot burn fat, do fat burning exercises, interval training is brilliant, 15 minutes of short sprints will burn calories for 24 hours, footballers and rugby players do these all the time.

5'10-5'11 / 165 at 31 waist with 16 % bf I can squat 315. Still have belly fat too and and hips. Girls dont care if you take what you want and give it good. So either get under that bar till you can squat 2x your body weight for a single rep or 3 and then cut. you will have the body that better matches what you want

Gynecomastia is developed breast tissue, not fat. Your doctor can easily distinguish.

I suspect you might be really squeezing that measurement tape tight. Some people put fat on differently. But you can't spot reduce, and you are probably are just fat. One rep of a half squat at 250 lbs. is not impressive. Try twenty slow, deep reps instead. Do ten or twenty pull-ups too. Watch your diet and do hard interval aerobics, not some slow stairmaster zombie walk. Then you will get lean and hard.

I've got the same problem to a small extent. I've been four-pack lean and still had it. when I was a child, I remember the doctor saying that my puberty was late on set by about a year. during that time i developed the little man boob perhaps from there not being enough T to balance E during that time period. and now no matter how lean i get i will never ever have the 'look' of the cut pec. no chance not ever. its taken a while for me to 'get over it' but get over it i did.

Well the sign of extra tissue growth around the pecs is the most telling of all of them. Another warning sign and almost too late is problems with your prostate. Most prostate issues are caused due to higher amounts of estrogen in the body.

ED can be caused by high estrogen levels as well, but without a saliva test it can also be low levels of testosterone.

Drinking and drug use are major culprits. But even worse though is fluoridated water. Just think of how many glasses a day you drink and shower in that shit. It causes estrogen mimicing hormones to take over the body.

Thats why girls go into puberty at 8 now and have massive tits at 13. Also plays a big role in why boys are such pussies these days and have small jaws with droopy shoulders and why they all think they are bi-sexual

I suspect OP is just fat still. I've seen pictures and know guys who were hideously fat and when they held 10% or so bodyfat levels for a while all their skin reattached per say. OP probably cut weight really quick without really working out or working out heavy and now has a lot of flab to show for it. I suggest he justs continues trying to lift heavier and heavier. When I blew my shoulder last year I went from lifting pretty heavy to near sedentary and had some man boobs going. But now that I'm back to benching 260 everything has come back in place and I have a large over hanging pecs despite being bulked up for winter. As OP loses fat and increases strength he should get good pecs. But it takes time. I always notice for myself that my pecs start to look good once my bench starts to hit about 225. This is from the 3 or so times I've taken extended absences from the gym.

Its true that OP may have high estrogen levels and that steroid users get gyno sometimes especially if they don't PCP. I think its safe to assume OP isn't a former roid user if hes talking about squatting 250 although sillier things have happened. Squatting is good for your core as well as your but, and legs primarily. Not really your pectorals. Maybe add some benching in and hit the bench from all angles flat, incline and decline to sculpt your pecs. Good luck.

Usually if a guy has man boobs, that's a sign of higher estrogen levels. So the best way to combat it is to hit the gym and get your testosterone high again. But it seems like you're already doing that.

What is your diet like? Do you eat good fats, low-glycemic carbs, fruits and veg?

If it's that bad and going to the gym doesn't get rid of it, despite belly fat going, then see a specialist.

Hate to bump a 2 year old thread but I was wondering if changing your diet would help in making the man-boobs disappear.

I used to be flat chested but then college and irresponsible eating habits happened, and some small tits appeared. It's getting annoying having the fat around my upper chest.

The only thing I know about this is......working your chest out does not produce results, or that's what every single publication on Google has stated.

Define man boobs? Are "man boobs" blobs of fat underneath your nipples that causes you to protrude? If so, it's gyno. Get it cut out or try some anti-gyno medications.

If "man boobs" means you have "male breasts," it's because you're too fat.
