[/color]Anyone have any experience of it?
I spotted it in my local health food store recently, in root powder form, and thought I'd give it a try, the blurb on the packet made it sound like the elixir of life, so if it's even half as good as that, it should have some positive effects

Its basically the indian form of Ginseng. It's a good adaptogen. I prefer Ginseng because its nickname is "man herb".

lots of supplements - provided its a quality brand - can have positive FX on you.
ashwagandha is an adaptogen, essentially meaning it helps the consumer cope with stress. It personally has only ever given me depression, but for others they experience either nothing or a little bit of, I guess you'd call it, anxiolytic effect.
right now I take 5htp and it gives me a subtle lift for sure. it is a precursor to serotonin, and I think biochemically im regularly a little bit low in serotonin and dopamine. I'm especially sensitive to any sort of intoxicant that fucks around with these normal levels.
if u like adaptogens, another good one is Rhodiola rosea.

I used to take it daily
I noticed no difference
Then again I can say the same about zinc and magnesium
