I didn't see any reports about it, so i'll make a report about a trip that i made to the zone like 2 years ago.
The international airport is located in montevideo. I am pretty sure that there aren't any direct flights to montevideo from other main destinations, so you'll have to make a stop maybe in brazil or argentina.
The most known beach in Uruguay is Punta del Este. If you go to punta del este, you'll find awesome parties, great chicks, etc. But i don't recommend going there. Why not? Punta del este is a very expensive destination, where rich people from uruguay, brazil and argentina go to. Chicks will be considerably harder to bang, and if you don't speak spanish, maybe they won't even consider you, and prefer to talk to their friends or something like that.
But i do recommend this two beaches that are close to punta del este:
- La Paloma: I stayed for 2 weeks in this beach from january, 1st to january, 15th. If you can't come here on this date, don't bother to come here, because young people come here on the first two weeks of january. Why? have no idea.
La paloma is not that expensive like punta del este and people who come to la paloma is mostly people between the ages of 16 to 23. You won't see too many people older than this. You can party every single day until 8 in the morning, or even later.
Chicks are mostly from uruguay, and while i was in the place, i heard a lot of bang stories. It's true that this kind of chicks are hard, but from what i saw, i can say with confidence that "gringos" would kill it here (they need to know some spanish). All you need is a little game and a cell phone (this chicks text a lot).
- Punta del diablo: I also visited this beach, and it's different from punta del este and la paloma. It's different because is a lot more hippie than the other two beaches. Chicks are a little bit older here, but are still as hot as chicks in la paloma. Same rules applies than before.
