First, some background. I'm 18, sexually inexperienced (never kissed a girl), but socially experienced (not that much trouble making presentations or starting conversations with strangers, including girls). I left high school at 16 for community college and will probably transfer to UC Berkeley for computer science next academic year.
The reason I wish I had never learned about game is that it creates a conflict between my short-term interest and my long-term interest. Meeting girls obviously fits well with my short-term interest, and it will fit even better once I've transferred and stop living with my parents. But it doesn't fit well with my long-term interest. Basically, I think humanity stands a good chance of becoming extinct in the next century (lots of potential causes), and that by making a shitton of money and then donating it to the right orgs I can significantly mitigate this. I'm almost certain meeting girls (or even having a girlfriend) will cut down on the number of hours I spend on entrepreneurial endeavors and make it hard to concentrate when programming.
So, does anyone have any brilliant ideas for getting rid of this unwanted feminine distraction? Some things I can think of are trying to gain admission to an all-male school, quitting school altogether, and slashing myself across the face, hopefully ruining my good looks and dating prospects until I'm rich enough to attract women with money (brain and penis united). All of these alternatives are unpalatable.
