Is this where IRT has been going wrong?

Maybe I'm weird. But I never want to have a wife, kids or even a girlfriend. I barely even want sex. I much prefer porn, prostitutes and lapdances. The freedom to not give a fuck about anything is wonderful. I can eat what I I want and not give a shit about how I look.

I'm 30 years old. And I don't give a shit about anything. I'm an atheist - and the only thing I care about is my books and my bourbon.

I love being single. And I refuse to have any woman in my business with my balls in her hands making me kow-tow to her PC crap. I see so many people trapped in sucky betatude relationships.

And by being single I guess I get about as much sex as most married people - ie. none.

I hear you. But you don't need to be so nihilistic and antisocial - this is exactly the response 'The Matrix' wants you to have.

Beat the system instead of being beaten by it.

have women: just understand the limits: they are hypergamous, irrational, and lust after your resources.

have kids: just protect yourself the best you can in choosing a woman and a jurisdiction in which to have them

have a family: but see above.

Believe in God, believe in yourself.

This is what they want - a population of demoralized nihilistic men - men who wont fight back because they wont have anything at stake: no good women, no children, no business, no real wealth to protect, no real relationships (platonic - male nor female).

I appreciate your response. But I should stress I am genuinely happy.

Also - I have a bunch of problems with the concept of marriage. One is the 50% chance of a divorce. And no matter how selective you are in choosing a woman to marry - it is all bit of a lottery.

The second is that I have no desire to be around any woman over the age of 35. So - the whole concept of a marriage would never do it for me anyway.

I probably am a bit nihilistic. But that doesn't mean I'm unhappy.

In some ways my approach to life is a little like the 'herbivores' of Japan. Accept they sound a bit gay. Whereas I prefer to devote my energies to having mad shit fun, and studying interesting shit. Anyway - despite the terrible name - I will link to an article about it below since it is suggestive of a wider trend. Personally - I think porn is a game changer. Porn has made my standards so ridiculously high - that I am only interesting in top shelf pussy. It has spoiled me and I can only get interested in high 8's, 9's and 10's. And I can't be bothered learning Game since I much prefer spending my time reading. Still - I totally respect those who do. And I may change my mind one day. I just have a lifestyle that works for me. Anyway - here is that article.

Also - no way I would ever not be an atheist. Shit - even if I did believe in God I would refuse to worship him. It seems like some weird ego trip to expect someone to worship you just because you are superior to them. It would be like me having a dog and expecting him to worship me just because I am a 'higher being' than him. And if God doesn't like my attitude then I will happily swap places with him and I will promise him that he can do what the fuck he wants and worship me as little as he wants. I won't give a shit.

I never understood the theological reasons behind why we are supposed to worship God. Anyway - none of it matters - since (in my opinion) he doesn't exist.

Sorry for the sidetrack. Just wanted to give a wider statement of how I view things.

I am an idiot in alot of other areas. So - it is possible that I am wildly wrong in this area as well. Which is why I find it an interesting topic to discuss.

Cardguy's view is simultaneously unfathomable and very understandable to me. I don't know what to say, honestly.

While I might not agree with you, there is no denying that you are part of a fast-growing trend. Porn is indeed a game changer in the sense of making it way less urgent to get laid and raising your standards (unrealistically too).

However, there is one thing in the article that gives me pause: it mentions that herbivores are rejecting the consumerism that comes along with courting women, i.e. buying stuff to woo them (either directly as gifts or indirectly through status) and etc. I read that and thought "If they only knew that fucking (hot) women nowadays doesn't require any money"...
