Aside from breaking tradition by including wife Ann in his Massachusetts gubernatorial portrait, Romney insisted on incorporating the caduceus, which is associated with medicine. Michael Daly talks to the artist about Romney’s proud achievement.

This winged staff entwined with two serpents is the caduceus, and it was the only thing Romney explicitly asked to have included other than his wife.

When a leftist is an anti-feminist, he's a hypocrite.

When a conservative is a feminist, he's a hypocrite.

Of course, true conservatives are not very common, even on the right. Definitely no more than a quarter of the Republican electorate, probably not even a tenth.

If one were to approve of Romney including his wife in the photo, I'd hesitate to consider him a conservative.

Many people on this board and elsewhere look at Republicans, and correctly conclude they are little better than the Democrats when it comes to their views on women. They then incorrectly conclude that conservatism is no better than liberalism, as regards the role of men and women. Patriarchy is one of the primary ingredients of a conservative philosophy.

ManAbout,

Do you understand that even if people agree with your overall position, on these threads you sound like a snarky, fat ass, woman?

And that means on a fundamental level you need to make some changes.

Tenderman, you're handling your loss even worse than Donald Trump. There's nothing beta about a man embracing his wife.

Eh. Patriarchy is kind of beta. I can accept that it may make for a more stable societal equilibrium, but that ship has sailed. I'm not sure that any conservatives, true or otherwise, can bring it back.

The most we can hope for is a roll-back of the welfare state and to successfully push back against the most offensive encroachments of feminism. Republicans are a little better at this than Democrats, but conservatives are notorious white knights. More importantly, I wouldn't want to live in any country run by social conservatives.

Am I the only one who thinks Tenderman is a [Image: troll.gif]?

Aside from posting pics of MILFS on the 40 something thread, he hasn't posted anything of value in a long time, and continues to cry and whine about Obama.

Get over it dude, either that or move to Russia, it's getting really fucking old and kind of sad and pathetic. Accept the fact that Obama is president, and move on with your life.

Seriously. There's far less difference between Obama and Romney than these right-wingers want to acknowlege.
