loved the mario series, wasn't a big fan of mario 2 (didn't like that picking up and throwing shyt on people's heads and shyt).
Mario 3 was the shiznit, Mario Kart was heavy too.
Liked Double Dragon, Gunsmoke, Mike Tyson's punchout.
Liked Final Fight (Mike Hagar, Cody and Guy) and Streetfighter 2 was straight crack.
Seen more real fights and scuffles with Streetfighter 2 than any other game in histoire.

Street Fighter 2
All.Day.Long.
In the early 90's, this arcade game was everywhere there was a pizza parlor. I used to spend long hours perfecting my abilities with that game as a young kid. In fact, the game had a culture onto itself. You had skaters, rockers, gangster wannabe's and aficionados of that game.

My parents let me rent a videogame every weekend for a while when I was a kid. I'd say for a good 2-3 months it was Mortal Kombat III. Loved that shit.
But really I'd say Goldeneye took the cake for best game ever in my generation.
Not exactly "classics" yet though(my first console was an Atari 2600 or something so I did get in the game pretty early).

Ah, the ole Atari 2600. That was my first one too. Still have it.

I thought I was cool because I had a Sega version with the blood and not the censored SNES version with no blood.

Defender- hardest arcade game of its' time. Maybe one time I managed to play for 3 minutes.
Missile Command - I was horrible at this too.
Gorf - stupid name but it combined different games like Galaxian and you could at least get your quarters worth.
Golden Tee - the original 2D version. I could play 18 holes for a quarter and score 3 under par.

I knew people who got really good at defender but I never did.
I was seriously envious.

This used to be one of my favorites too.
Probotector for the NES. The gameplay was awesome and very difficult. One hit and you were dead and you had to start over again.

Damn, that's some crazy Euro version of Contra!
Did that game also have the
Konami code?

Yeah, I had an SNES. The graphics were better on the SNES version, but the Sega version got the gore. Hardcore MK fans were more a fan of the Genesis version because it was truer to the original arcade game.
