Hurricane Sandy-Where Are You?

Hurricane Sandy-Where Are You?

I'm in Queens, NY, and the wind is so strong that it's shaking my house. The rain isn't as heavy in my area as I expected, and so far there are no downed power lines.

Obama and his staff will do everything not to fuck up response time. Funny how mother nature might be the final say on who becomes president.

Im currently in Union, NJ with family. No outages or very strong winds or rain here or in Newark as per some other family I have over there. A couple of thick branches falling from trees here and there but nothing too bad yet.

I'm glad this thread is bringing out all the members in New Jersey so when Roosh lets me moderate I know who to ban first

Long island here. Several power outages so far, wind is picking up. Electrical fire down the block, 1 small tree down. Getting some books on iTunes.

I'm not in the States, but I laughed when I saw this guy's picture of 'defiance.'

Wow. This is worse than I thought. For all my NYC bravado...window blown in up the street, a tree smashed over my roommate's car, lights flickering; this is legit shit. And to think this is only the beginning/middle of the worst part.

I'm fully expecting power to be out sooner than later from a down tree. 86MPH gust recorded at JFK, and a roommate who works rather high up within the city said serious consideration is being given to killing the grid in all low lying areas of NYC.

Upstate NY, a few minutes from Syracuse. Nothing but rain and some wind. Further down state the around Westchester and Putnam there are many trees and pole down, the rich peeps there aren't happy.

They declared a state of emergency where I am= no traffic on the drive home from work!

The water from the hudson is now flooding my street. In an hour or so it should be in the lobby of our building.

You should ban members who are from Fayetteville, North Carolina. All the guys from New Jersey are good contributors.

My mom said that they made her evacuate from Cape May County by 4:00 P.M. yesterday (Sunday) and that they were going to start citing people who stayed at the Jersey Shore after 4:00 P.M. The storm should be much less severe in Camden County, Burlington County, Cumberland County, and Salem County.

Scented candles are a player's necessity [Image: lol.gif]

So I'm sitting here in the dark browsing the forum on my iPhone. I have 50% charge left. I have a Mophie extended battery case for it in my car that I have to walk out in the rain and get. It doubles my battery time. I have 2 laptops I can plug into to charge it. I just boiled water to make coffee. I may roast some chicken in a few to keep it from spoiling. Man it's rough over here.

I'm also trying to booty call this girl I know that lives 10 minutes away.

Parlay what if your power goes out for a week? I know it won't I'm just curious how much prepping you did.

I have a new respect for hurricanes. How I have power, I have no idea, but my garage has been completely been destroyed by a falling tree. A dude 2 blocks from me was crushed by one while driving. Check twitter for pictures of a blacked out manhattan.

Frankly scary, and a bit unbelievable. When approaching Sandy, I am an omega.

I just walked out to the street and its flooded for a few blocks and stops just short of my apartment and my parking space. I may need to leave just to save my car. It's shitty out here.
