Another Brazil thread. Thoughts and observations.

Some observations and thoughts on Brazil. Maybe an introduction on my part as well. I’m not exactly new to the game scene, though I’m relatively new to the online discussions of such. I picked up a copy of Day Bang recently and read it, which led me to joining the RooshV forums. I’ve been to Brazil a few times and like the place. I tend to get a positive response from women there in general. My view might be tainted though as I’m a tall muscular gringo with blond hair and blue eyes. I almost universally got a positive response from all of the Brazilian girls I talked to, but didn’t put much effort into bang conversion this time around. I was recently sent to the Sao Paulo area for just over a week for work. I went a few days early and stayed a few days after to do some recreational exploring. This wasn’t a bang mission or a flag collection mission, more like recon for future missions. I flew in early and hit Ilhabela with a coworker who grew up in Brazil and told me it was a good place to meet women and hang out on nice beaches. We stayed in the Villa area, the nightlife center of the island.

My impression of Ilhabela… Small town vibe, lots of nice beaches. Lots of good looking girls, especially on Praia Corral. That particular beach had good sized crowds and good restaurants and bars right on the beach. Lots of day game opportunities here, but you’d better speak Portuguese. Even the girls who say they speak English only have a 2nd semester knowledge of the English language at best. You won’t be able to do much else besides ask what their name is and tell them yours. I had to rely on my weak Portuguese and my work buddies translations to make any headway. The girls we talked to were all very friendly and were more than happy to give out their numbers.

A few things that I think helped on the approach. It turns out my favorite pair of sunglasses sell for a ridiculous amount in Brazil, so that may have been a DHV right off the bat. I made sure to take the sunglasses off when I started speaking to the girls, as I have blue eyes and in my experience Brazilian women love them. It was kind of weird to see so many girls make intense eye contact right off the bat like that. I would hold eye contact with them until they looked away, a tip I think I picked up from Roissy. Apparently not many Americans make it to this part of brazil either, so I still had some novelty to them as the exotic foreigner. With the younger girls, their response was universally positive, like they just met a rockstar. With the older girls, say 22+, it was more of a neutral response but never negative. Most of the guys I talked to didn’t seem to care I was American and none were outright hostile, which is always cool, but I’m not interested in banging them so that’s kind of irrelevant.

Night gaming in the Villa was weak to say the least. Most girls here are with their families or their boyfriends and husbands, so there were not many women out unescorted by a father or significant other. The bar selection was weak as well. There was one okay place, the Irish Pub it’s called. Those fuckers charge you a cover to get in though and don’t tell you until you ask for your tab, then it’s right there added to your drinks. It was only 10 reais , but still it’s the principal of the thing. Fuck those guys. My time here ended with meeting up with a few girls me and my coworker buddy met on the beach. We both got a make out session with heavy petting out of it, but true to Brazilian stereotypes the girls weren’t giving up shit until at least the 2nd date it would seem. Since time here was limited there were no 2nd dates. Overall a nice place and serious potential for a bang trip if you have 4-5 days or more to stay. Very pretty island with some great beaches. If you end up here, stock up on mosquito repellent before you go though. Those fuckers are everywhere and they are relentless.

I spent some time in Sao Paulo after this working 14 hour days, so I didn’t do much other than work, grab something to eat with coworkers afterward, grab a beer or two, and bullshit with my hot Russian coworker that I sometimes smash. Yes she’s a woman. Sao Paulo is an ugly city and the air is filthy. I’ve seen smog before, but I’ve never seen brown air like this. Holy shit. I thought I was going to have lung cancer from being there for 8 days. Unrelated but of possible use to players hitting Brazil in the near future, I wore a University of Colorado t-shirt one day after work. Their logo is CU despite the abbreviation actually being UC. CU is Portuguese for asshole, which my coworkers found hilarious. Possible conversation piece if you have any CU gear with a logo on it. Some might find it vulgar, but most everyone had a good laugh.

So Brazilians are getting fat. I was there 5 years ago and in that time there’s a huge difference. Especially in SP. I attribute this entirely to them sucking down several gallons of fruit juice a day and putting tons of sugar in everything they eat and drink, coupled with improving Brazilian economy, thus people can afford cars and don’t walk as much anymore. Sugar plus not walking a few miles a day = fatties.

There was one day during my stay in SP that we made a trip to Unicamp in Campinas to talk with some people at the university. Campinas is an unremarkable town. Decent size, relatively clean, crazy drivers. If you make it to the university and have a decent grasp of Portuguese you will have day game opportunities galore. Lots of good looking girls about, but work took priority the time I was there. One of my coworkers did say there’s good nightlife there. I can neither confirm nor deny this though.

Finally after days of grinding it out, I had some more time to myself and me and my work buddy hit the airport for a one hour flight to Florianopolis. First things first, NO ONE there speaks English. But quite a few speak Spanish due to the # of argentine tourists. So you need to speak Spanish or Portuguese or have a translator to get by here. I stayed near Joaquina beach. Easily one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever set foot on. And I lived in Hawaii for a year. Despite being a week day and early in the season, one end of the beach had a decent crowd with a lot of women. There were a few restaurants and bars right next to each other on the beach. The food was ok, but the caipirinhas were awesome. After a few drinks I got in the water and played around. It was cold but not too bad. As I got out I passed by a group of girls dancing to some crappy Brazilian funk music. I made eye contact with one and she pulled me over to dance with them. Upon closer inspection these girls were all no older than 15 or 16. They def passed the boner test and are legal there, but to avoid complications like an angry father or brother assaulting me I danced with them for a minute then excused myself. No numbers were gathered here as the girls just seemed too young. My coworker had no problem with it though and left with a few numbers. We got in on a pick up game of soccer on the beach and left. The guys we played with were friendly, but again we’re not trying to bang dudes around here.

Nightlife in this area was weak, but not horrible. There were many bars but the only one with anyone in it had a live band playing and did the same add cover to your tab without telling you bullshit that other bars do in brazil. We approached some girls at the bar and ended the night with a make out session (with the girls), but nothing beyond that. They were interested in meeting up later in the week, but I wasn’t going to be around that long.

Summary: Ilhabela and Floripa are really nice places with some decent talent on weekdays during the beginning of the season. I imagine on weekends during peak season the place is swarming with pussy. A couple make out sessions with Brazilian girls and repeat smashed my Russian coworker, but no lays with the local talent this time. I will definitely return to Ilhabela and Floripa on my next Brazil trip though. Didn’t really gather enough info for a datasheet, but thought I’d share with you guys regardless.

Honest report.

Ilhabela is the island where rich people from São Paulo go to in the summer. Sure there are bangable locals there, but prime time starts now (November) and ends in April. Many tourist cruises drop by the island in this period, and all the posh (and not so posh) girls go during the warmer months of the year. There are also many sailing competitions that take place in Ilhabela, which sometimes help attracting visitors. Not many gringos, either, it's more of a "paulistano" destination.

As pointed out, if you want the real benefits of Ilhabela, wait for the high season. Weekends are extra-busy because people who can't take long holidays will go for a short visit. Ilha can get VERY CROWDED in those times, specially from December until the end of January (summer vacation).

Just beware of prices (highly inflated, as it is an island and you don't have much choice). And always think twice before entering an upscale bar. Meet girls during the day on the beach, or the late afternoon in the village, and drink with them on the beach or streets or botecos. They'll be everywhere and there's no need for you to spend extra cash chasing them in expensive bars, full of buff, sweaty guys.

Nice info and I like your honesty. The brazilian weight issue, which you described perfectly, is probably the worst thing to happen to this country ever.
Skinny girls are becoming more and more scarce. There is alot more demand for them, especially if they are white, because the supply is dwndling every year. When this happens bitch shields go way up, especially in the bigger more cosmopolitan cities.
Imagine 20 yrs ago, when seeing a Brazilian fatty was as rare as seeing a jaguar in the jungle. My solution to this problem has been to pick cities in Brazil that are still 3rd world. You will still see a lot of fatties, but there is still enough DHV being a foreigner who speaks portuguese, that you still have plenty of skinny 18 to 22 yr old girls you can bang. Obviously the OP as a bond haired blue eyed foreigner doesnt need to do this and can go to any part of Brazil and get plenty of positive attention. Just need to improve your portuguese for your next trip and you shall kill it my friend. But go back soon, as time is not helping the situation in Brazil any.
