The place that I'm planning to rent + utilities would cost around 1/3 of my net monthly income. Another 1/3 of my monthly income would likely go for food, fun and misc other expenses. So if my plans go well, I should be able to save up at least 1/3 of my monthly income every month.
Place is downtown and def worth the price. Do you think 1/3 for rent + utilities is too high?

It's less than 1km away from the subway (~10 min). I estimate at most 15-20 minutes away from the farthest bars/clubs in downtown. Place is on the last (6th) floor, new building, elevator, big balcony, nice view looking West.
Another place I'm considering is a bit cheaper, 5 mins from work, in a different part of downtown. Still 10 mins from subway and interesting spots. That one is in an older house where I would have a "roommate" on the same floor with me. The apartment is good but the bathroom is very small (no room for two people hehe) and kind of separate from the apartment which I don't like.
