What's the ideal type of accommodation for a lengthy hook up trip?

I'm staying in Bangkok for about 2 1/2 months this winter and plan to bring girls home on a regular basis (regular ones not pros). Figure a hotel for that long is a waste of money. I was initially thinking about getting an AirBnb, but would the hosts typically have an issue with this if you rent out the entire place? It would technically be extra guests on a regular basis that they never vetted.

I'm looking at spending $50/night or less ideally and being by the BTS or something is important.

Any other alternatives?

Never stayed at an AirBNB in BKK but you can get a solid 3* hotel on the lower sois (<25) of Sukhumvit for ~$40/night. At least as of last year.

The hotel will often ask the girl to see her ID, just make sure you've booked it for 2 guests and it shouldn't be a problem. If you're really worried about it find 3-4 hotels in the same general area and bounce from one to the next every week or so then cycle back through.

Problem there is 3 star hotels will have unreliable or slow internet and I have to work quite a bit.

I've done Air Bnbs and Hotels while staying for 3 to 4 weeks in BKK and I prefer hotels. Last time I was there in January I found a good hotel in Ploen Chit for $55 a night, so you can find good hotels at your budget. Check Agoda.com for rates.

But I prefer hotels because of the maid service. When I'm in BKK I like to be out and about each day and not wasting time cleaning and doing laundry. And if you want to bring girls back to your place it helps knowing that you have some one coming in to change the sheets and remove all evidence of the debauchery the next day. And I know that hotels rip you off with laundry, but I don't care I'll pay the premium to spend my time doing other things.

Also hotels have front desk staff or concierges who speak great English. This is helpful for troubleshooting problems, asking for local recommendations, or asking for directions. And good hotels have a tuk tuk that takes you to the nearest BTS station, or they have an attendant that will flag for a moto taxi to take you to the BTS.

And I've never encountered a problem bringing girls back to the hotels, and I've never had the staff require the girl to sign in. But I suppose that depends on where you stay.

But I'm not knocking Air Bnb because you can get a great deal and a cool experience by staying at a place deep in the smaller sois off Sukhumvit and experiencing the small neighborhood cafes and restaurants that you would never know about.

Personally, if I were staying that long in Bangkok, I would not want to be living in a hotel. I love eating out, but find it healthier and fulfilling to do most of my own cooking.

It comes down to personal preference, but I would go for getting a "entire apartment" on airBNB.

I've stayed in a few AirBnB's in Bangkok and never had issues taking girls back. The host/agent wont be around to see and other people in the building just mind their own business.

If you're staying 2.5 months you'll be able to get a monthly rate discount which will make it a lot cheaper than a hotel.

Also, if internet speed is important you're much better off in a condo with your own dedicated connection. Hotels are generally just luck of the draw depending how far your room is from the router.

Only downside is no room cleaning but for the amount you'll save, you can easily get a maid in 2 or 3 times a week.

Just post in one of the Bangkok expat Facebook groups for recommendations. Will be about 500 baht to clean a 1 bed.

Very good point on the monthly discount. There are also plenty of by-the-pound laundry places (also do dry cleaning), at least in the Sukhumvit area. For internet, if it's not up to snuff at your place just about any coffee shop will have free wifi as well as a lot of bars.

Only caveat is I've heard horror stories about security at apartment complexes in BKK cock blocking. But like I said, only ever stayed at hotels there myself.
