As I've been hitting up my city's nightclubs, I'm getting 'cooler' and closer to being in the in-crowd in the scene. The crowd where everybody hot pretty much gets high & sleeps with everybody else.
I've grown pretty astute to girlcoding among groups of 9 & 10 girls to indicate acceptability of a guy to go be temporarily accepted by them. Subtle nods, eye-coding, routine lines, and girl-girl interruptions.
Last night, I saw this crossfit trainer I know very casually through mutual friends. He's part of the cool "in-crowd." I made some brief small talk with him. I wasn't completely warmed up and I was slightly off-state, but he was hanging out with 2 male friends and a female friend. one of the male friends - a type equivalent to my city's jersey shore type - took a look at me & actually nodded "no" visibly to Crossfit - the same exact girl-code that girls give one another to indicate a guy is "not worthy." I stuck around chatting for a little bit, and the guy-coding dude complimented me on my kicks (chucks) as he was wearing the same - I couldn't tell if this compliment was a tooling/troll-type or a test of some sort. I replied, "Yeah they're classic, cant get any better" - don't even know if that was the right response or not.
I was actually surprised as shit by this, I had never seen cool guys code one another with another guy, but then again I more than likely have been completely missing it. Is this shit common? Have you noticed this before among the in-crowd dudes?
