Be careful about taking stories like these at face value. The story references proof for these allegations, but it never actually provides any. The Mail exists to sell papers and story about the government helping brown immigrants exploit white girls gets a whole lot more page views than a run of the mill story about Child Protective Services (or whatever the equivalent is) just being plain old incompetent.

The story in the OP is definitely real, and the issues behind it are very deep. short answer is that the police turned a blind eye to this stuff for the last 10 years because they thought it was racist to say that Pakistani men are sexually exploiting vulnerable young English girls from broken homes.

It's all coming out now. Imo the current government is using it as ammunition against the last government.

The Pakistani Muslim men who deliberately targeted non Muslim children and girls for rape and sexual abuse were convicted in the British Courts. They all had defence teams whom the taxpayer paid for. The convictions were the result of years of work by the Police. Ask anyone who lives in places like Luton, Rochdale, Oldham (any area with high percentage Pakistani, Muslim populations) what is going on and they will tell you. The problem is that liberal/left bullies scream so loud that decent people are frightened to tell the truth and the result is that thousands of non Muslim girls are targeted by Muslim men in this way.

It's not just in the UK, they have similiar phenomenoms in places like Holland (Muslim Moroccans) and other northern European countries.

It is appalling that some people seem to wish to assist what is happening by making statements that seem designed to prevent honest and open debate.

Oh and by the way if any of those with liberal/left views on this forum wish to accuse me of being "racist" for telling the truth and saying that it is wrong for Muslim men to sexually target non Muslim children and girls; then if you educate yourself you will find the the Indian Sikh and Hindu communities in the UK have been complaining about the same problem for years.

So did those things not happen? If they did, their provenance is irrelevant. Maybe it's very posh to not care about such trivia?

I could dredge up story after story, DM or otherwise. The Daily Mail actually has good honest coverage of American incidents that our own media is too pussy to cover. The British press in general seems more comfortable publishing controversial matters than the American press, though it's also more unreliable. When word got out that MLK was guilty of plagiarism for portions of his thesis, the American press initially refused to cover it until the British papers broke the embargo.

It always irks me that the British press calls these Pakistani men 'Asian'. I'm guessing the Chinese (and other Asian) people must hate that.

The Koran says that 'Mohammed was the most excellent example for all believers'. This is a central tenat to the religion, and Muslim men emulate him. Mohammed married a 6 year old, so the fact that about 1/3 of all marriages in Pakistan are to underage girls should not be surprising. Hell, even the Ayatollah Khomeini married a 12-year-old. Within Islam, females have second class status to begin with and unbelievers are supposed to live in a state of submission (dhimmitude) to believers. In their home country, their punishment would be far less severe (if punished at all), so they probably thought they could get away with it, especially considering all the political correctness and lax enforcement.

i would agree with this.

the police / bbc or anyone not pc are scared that they are going to get accused of being racist in my opinion.

there was a case a few years ago of a 15 year old brutally murdered (i heard injuries were worse than what was reported) murdered for being white by pakistani guys. this was the first ever racially motivated murder conviction. there was very little media response to this in the uk (though there was in scotland where it took place).

meanwhile, stephen lawrence - as tragic as that particular case was - was front page news up until this year and the murder took place 20 years ago! needless to say, lawrence was black and murdered by whites.

all of these crimes are equally as horrible and tragic as each other and someones son / daughter, and in fairness, i'm not sure what good reporting crimes from ethnic minorities would do, but it seems our media shields what is really happening rather than, as pointed out by zak, having a fair and balanced debate.

Animosity from Brits towards Aussies? I've never heard any. I mean there is plenty of banter especially when the Ashes are played but apart from that I have never in my life heard a Brit slag off an Aussie in the UK. I think we look at you as being Brits who won the golden ticket and managed to get out. So a little jealousy maybe but no animosity whatsoever.
