Your boy PT Anderson gives his perspective on the early days of Scientology, called "The Cause" in the flick.

1) Game wise there were a few gems
- Amy Adams jerking off PSH, and keeping control of him because it's intimated PSH is a player
- Joaquin's crazy/insane/drunk character attracting regular chicks
- the "cube" on steroids with the "processing"

2) Flick wise, it was class PT Anderson. You're not really sure what the point of the movie was.

There's no simple narrative, and nobody to root for. (not that that is a bad thing)

Deep in some parts, and beautiful looking through out.

3) Definitely not a date movie, or something to throw on when a chick comes by the spot.

I'm a fan of Joaquin Phoenix and Philip Seymour Hoffman. I also like the look of PT Anderson's films. I enjoy films with flawed characters, that aren't always wrapped up with a little bow at the end, and I don't mind not having someone to root for. I just want good performances. I'll definitely see this. Probably not in the theater, because I'm lazy about going to the movies, but I'll definitely see it when it hits cable, or maybe even scoop it up in DVD.
