While I would certainly not recommend Naples as a destination to travel to to pick up women, I've been there enough to know where to eat, drink and womanize.
Getting in is rather easy. I75 runs right through Naples. It's 2 hours due south from St. Pete, 3.5 hours south from Orlando and a little over 2 hours due west from Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, though be cautioned about speeding on I75 across Alligator Alley, as cops are everywhere.
Naples is served by Southwest Florida Int'l Airport(RSW) and is about 25 minutes north of Naples. There are frequent direct flights that come in daily from the Eastern and Central part of the US and a large number of flights that come in from Germany(?).
Know that Naples is not a destination that I'd spend a week in unless I had to, as it has a limited amount of younger people who live there, and logistics can be poor for a reason I'll outline later. Additionally, a car is essential as distances between places can be far and taxi's are expensive.
Additionally, if I could sum up Naples in 3 words, it would be the following: Rich. White. Unashamed. The list of well known people who own property in Naples reads like an A list guestlist, but you'll rarely run into them. You will however, run into many retired rich white people who are unabashed and completely unashamed about showing off their wealth. You'll encounter many retired doctors, bankers, wealth managers whose morality borders on a combination of ignorance and non-existance. Go ahead, have a conversation at a bar with one of these Bentley driving, style blind clowns and you'll quickly understand what I'm talking about.
Eating
The key here in Naples when it comes to eating is happy hour. Every restaurant has one, and their offerings for happy hour mimic their non happy hour, except you'll pay twice the price if you don't go during happy hour. Times vary depending on the restaurant, so with a good look around town, you'll find places whose happy hour starts as early as 3, and places who have happy hour that lasts til 8. Here are some of my picks:
Pinchers Crab Shack: Tin city. Cheap beers and cheaper oysters, shrimp and clams. Go for happy hour. Don't go to meet women. A large clientele means you're always eating fresh seafood. I don't touch seafood that isn't fresh.
Blue Martini In the Mercato shopping center. We'll come back here later for drinks, but the happy hour food is very good and cheap. The waitresses are some of the hottest girls in town.
AZN Also in the Mercato. Decent happy hour sushi and Asian fusion food. We're not talking the NYC restaurant scene here, but for Naples, it's decent enough. You may run into the odd set of women here for drinks and food.
I've heard good things about McCormick and Schmick's for seafood in Mercato, but I've never been. I would not recommend Capital Grill unless you're desperate for steak, however this is coming from a dude who eats important steaks at Luger's, but it's quite hilarious to watch the money in the town pay $10 to valet their car for a restaurant located in a shopping center.
Closer to 5th Avenue, Lurcat is a bit pricy but has never drawn a complaint from me. I like Bistro 821 at the bar for happy hour. They've got a well versed wine list, if that's your thing. Do not go for dinner, it's too crowded, service is slow and the food drops in quality. When in doubt, head to 5th avenue for decent food.
Meeting Women Due to the overwhelming majority of older people, day game is the equivalent of going to your local senior center to hit on women. If this is your thing, then you'll love this town.
The only reasonable place to meet women during the day is at the beach. I've noticed that Vanderbilt Beach, in the northern part of Naples generally has more women.
In terms of nightlife, the only place I can think of to go to is the Mercato center. There are 4 or 5 bars here and get pretty crowded on weekends. The English Pub there is meh for meeting women. I'd steer towards The Blue Martini or the cigar bar diagonal from the Blue Martini. The cigar bar gets hopping later at night as they turn a lot of their space into a dance floor.
My experience is that you'll deal with two types of women. Women that live here and seem to be trapped in their own personal hell as a result, or women that are visiting grandma and grandpa. A lot of women that live down in SW Florida come from 30+ minutes to party here, and the women that are visiting grandma/grandpa are staying with them. This creates a logistical nightmare because girls who live down here will come in groups. A girl that wants you will be cockblocked by the driving friend and has no reasonable way home the next day. Girls who are visiting grandparents are very unlikely to let their grandparents know they're sluts by not coming home at night. I've ran into these scenarios each time I've been down here. Additionally, since Naples is spread out so much, it's possible that you may be in Naples yet still 20 minutes away from Mercato.
There is a possibility of a solution. There is a new apartment development which is literally built into the shopping center. Why anyone would want to live in a luxury apartment in a shopping center is beyond me, but I'd look into a rental if I'm down there for a few days. This could totally change the dynamic of going out there. I could see these women being totally down to hang at your apartment as it requires no investment on their part.
Overall, as noted earlier Naples is not a destination, but if you've got to be here you might as well make the most of it.
