I see a lot of noise on red pill sites about posture and how it relates to confidence, the image of yourself that you project to women (and other men, for that matter), what it means about your self image and your level of fitness, etc...
Here are some things I've been pondering on the topic, please share your thoughts if you would:
Will being more confident in myself subconsciously lead to differences in how I carry myself physically, or, will making a conscious effort to adopt a more allegedly confident posture subconsciously lead to an increased sense of self-confidence? Both, neither?
Do women necessarily find stereotypically confident posture extraordinarily attractive? From time to time I notice guys who seem to break all "the rules" of confident posture, including looking down at the ground a lot, being slouchy, rounded shoulders, who aren't at all lacking in their success with women. In the right circumstances can certain supposedly bad posture traits come off in a positive light, appearing cool, easygoing, comfortable, aloof, perhaps even mysterious? Is this highly dependent on other factors such as the style of clothes you wear, the game you try to run, and the girls you apply it to?
For reference, I'm a skinny ass ectomorph. I probably have at least a mild case of computer posture, but I follow a decent whole-body strength lifting routine when I can, and I work a job that requires moving around heavy equipment without struggle. I have no history of back pain or injury.
Though it's reassuring and humbling to see how much progress I've made since I started down the red pill path, I can tell that outward projections of self-doubt and lacking confidence are my biggest obstacles at the moment... Would the mental energy involved in trying to alter how I walk and stand be more wisely invested in some other means of self-improvement?
