I am currently going through a personal transformation through The Roosh Program. After a couple weeks of reading a couple of pickup materials - The Game, How to Become an Alpha Male, Bang - I decided it was time to test out my reading.
The reason for this thread is simple: to track my progress with the game while at the same time making it public. This will serve to motivate me to continue and improve.
I have little to hide here. Here is what you need to know about me: I'm under 21, may or may not have a fake ID, a virgin, Caucasian, extroverted and live in the general NYC area.
My short term goals: Do 100 night approaches, collect 15 numbers, three dates, two same night makeouts. I will adjust as I see fit.
Tonight I went to a concert. I thought it would be a good way to test out my game. The ratio was about 80% guys, 20% girls at this venue. As you can probably expect, I came away with absolutely nothing but the realization that my game needs to drastically improve.
Approach #1: Two blonde girls on the street were looking for where the venue was. I kindly directed them to the place. I joked with them why they were following a stranger. Slight pauses in conversation. We got there and separated. I came back to them a little later but nothing really of substance ensued.
Approach #2: Two brunettes were standing before any act had come onto the stage. I told them they looked like they were having the most fun out of anyone here, sarcastically. They were like, "Oh yeah", but I didn't have anything to say. So I ejected like a pussy.
Approach #3: Cute, big titted 7 danced her ass into my ass. Of course, I took this as an IOI, turned around and started talking to her saying she was the girl that screamed in my ear earlier. She was with one friend and two guys. The guys were AFC's so I quickly neutralized them with a comment of how we're the same age. Because the music was loud, I took advantage of holding her head when talking into her ear. I think my mistake was not having enough content because when I ran out of things to talk about, I turned my back on her and her friends and paid attention to the performance. When I saw her group again later in the night, I said it was funny how we keep running into each other. She accused me of following her.

- As a rule of thumb, I tried to approach whenever I felt my heartbeat increasing and asking myself whether or not I should approach. I should've approached more sets and groups of people, but I was also enjoying the music.
- Going to a bar type atmosphere may be better to help my game.
- I need to be more interesting and have more things to talk about with random people. You don't realize how hard it is until you're out there approaching and this was really the first time in my life where I'd done it cold.
