Hey guys.

I probably post this redundant but anyway...

Someone has a good line if you approached a girl and after 30 sec u don't know what do say. Some all purpose gap filler that does no harm?

My best one is "Whats your name?"

Ïf you honestly can't think of anything to ramble about, then "Where you from?" is better than asking her name.

At least you can then carry on the conversation...
'Oh, I've never been there but a friend of mine told me that over there you guys have...
'Oh, I was there and saw this place, I wonder if it's still there...'
'I hear the weather that side is great/awful, if I was there I'd probably...'

Remember, you need to make at least 2 statements for every question you ask.

Just talk about whatever you are interested in, the conversation will be one sided at the start anyway. I'd talk aboutwhatever I've done recently, jiujitsu, why I picked that bar, Why I drink dark ales etc.

One of the lines I use in that situation is "Where would you recommend going on holiday?" - it's honest, simple and it opens up the conversation to an entirely, they tell you there interests and hobbies without you even needing to ask. It's also great when you're in a group and I have had some pretty good suggestions.

From there you can literally move onto any conversation you like based on something they have said, and you can stay away from work related topics which I have found is one of the worst things to bring up.

I also avoid the weather since it's always what people bring up when they run out of things to say.

I think asking a girl's name so soon is a bad idea. It shows too much interest in her. I seldom ask a girls name at all during a pickup- I let her volunteer it. I am talking about american girls here-its probably different in other cultures

"What do you think of ______?" ...your location, a nearby store, a nearby attraction, the neighborhood of the city you're in...
