Can't say I agree with the list. I currently live in Houston, and I can say there are cooler cities just in Texas alone (Dallas & Austin come to mind), let alone the rest of the USA.

Their methodolgy is a bit skewed, IMHO.

Yea leave it to a major publisher to publish actual facts...I think Cities just push to spread their propaganda, kind of like how I saw a "visit las vegas" or "visit orlando" and for years a "visit california" ad at least once a week despite living in TX. If that is just a fraction of their budget for tourism advertising then I can imagine the amount of effort that goes into trying to get individual cities on each "top" list to bring in more jobs and skilled workers by using an unquantifiable or easily skewed city characteristic and backing it up with "statistics."

But I always manage to waste my time reading these lists; Its too easy. Like most people I want the answers handed to me on a silver platter rather than go through field reports and city data sheets on travel forums like Roosh and cross-referencing it with city-data.com and google searching individual reviews such as "CITY X Sucks" then comparing cities one by one...

I can tell you for a fact that SAN ANTONIO paid to be on that list. They are ranked 8 places above Austin at 11th coolest city,.. Ive been at some events where several SA officials explained how a politicians wife used her influence to get SA to be one of the 3 cities in the world featured in World Expo in China. Anyone on this forum knows SA belongs nowhere near being featured for anything in World Expo other than "stay the fuck away from here because we have lots of teen pregnancy, overweight, huge percentage of population is alcoholic, lots of automobile deaths and arrests from the preceding, horrible traffic, very few crappy jobs, and filthy dirty mexicans."

I actually think Austin is a top 5 city, went to Houston and did not find it that appealing at all
