Men have to do things right, women do not. There's also tons of magazines geared towards socially advancing women in their teen years (Seventeen for example), men either play sports, play xbox, both, or are just plain nerds.

Some guys are naturally gifted with women of course.

Women have become picky for a variety of reasons.

*Media (television, movies, magazines, etc.) has caused women believe they all deserve their "Mister Right." They just keep moving on to the next guy with impossible standards.
*Feminism has taught women they should seek advanced degrees and careers; causing women surpass far more men in this area than ever in the past which in turn feeds their egos while making them believe they deserve the same or better. Thus, the pool of "acceptable" suitors grows smaller and smaller.
*Society is becoming more materialistic and judgmental. Everyone wants to "keep up with the joneses", and that includes the dating world.

The picky women end up living the feminist nightmare.

God, I've only read a tiny bit of it so far, but I already fucking hate it.

It's the time-tested Stalinist media technique of obliterating the dissenting party and putting up some puppet in its place. We have a debate, and one guy saying women are not too picky, fair enough. And the other guy says.... wait for it... everyone is too picky! By appointing such a 'moderate' mealy-mouthed position to represent the 'women are picky' side, they're implying that... nobody thinks women as women are picky. Convene a panel on god knows what, "The Campus Rape Epidemic," stack it with feminists, and voila, everyone is in agreement! Halperin, the man supposedly arguing women are too picky, doesn't even say anything about women as apart from men - he's not even addressing the crux of the debate. Portoraro, the other dude, does, and wins the argument by default.

Women need to differentiate between "chasing that sweet-sweet tickle" and "he's probably good relationship material". They just can't have both.

I think the vast majority of men are also to blame. They put up with it. They don't get laid and think that permitting shitty behavior and entitled attitudes is the way to the wet hole.

You better believe if men withheld attention, sex, money, etc from women until they shaped up, women would fall into line real quick.

But most men are beta, weak-willed, and misdirected.
