I'm friends with a well-known male porn guy and the way he did it was to make calls to studios till they get tired of him and gave him a tryout anyway.

He's still working, on the hustle with all sorts of entertainment projects, and laying bitches. Cool cat and an inspiration for me [Image: smile.gif]

What j r posted is true on the things you need to do if you want to get into porn. My friend advocates the third option (get a girl to fuck you **and only you** on camera) I would add that the girl better be really hot and interested in working in the business. So get that game on and better be prepared to perform.

I wonder about amateur modeling. Do it as a side job, aim to just break even, and use it as a channel for meeting gorgeous women. There are a lot of girls who want money but don't want to do hardcore porn. Not sure how many of these women are amenable to being gamed. Ie. I'm not talking pay for play, just an amateur photographer blowing cash to meet cute girls. Maybe you could convince them to do it for free until you find a 'buyer'.

From experience as a photographer, no girl would do nudity or adult unless they're getting paid in money or some exchange that will greatly benefit her (connections, exposure, fame, a plane ticket to ___, etc.)

The better avenue for gaming (and saving $$) as an amateur photographer is to do non-nude modeling photoshoots and target those who are starting out and needing photos in exchange of modeling for free. In industry terms this is called TF (time for...CD, prints, copies, etc).

I've kinda thought about doing porn, nothing serious, but I'm pretty well hung, I would like to fuck 8+ women without hassle, and I'm not into working a "traditional" job. Basically the obvious draw to porn is fucking the hot usually young (18-22) range chicks, that I would struggle to land in "real life". Sometimes I get tired of all the "back flips" I got to do just to hook up with some 6-7 caliber chicks, I typically don't land better than a 7.5 (although I have a few times), and realistically I've probably never had a 9+ chick.

From what I understand it's pretty hard for guys to get into porn, you typically got to have some kind of legit connection in the industry (know someone at a major studio), or you have to start off in gay porn, or have a hot chick who wants to work with you, as a poster had already mentioned.

There may be some niche porn some guys could get into, but typically you need to be a decent looking guy, in good physical shape and have at least a 7 in. dick, although I think most white porn stars are probably around 8 in., and black guys more like 9-10 in. If you measure out at less than 7 in., you probably aren't going to have much luck in that biz, unless you are really good looking and ripped.

I don't know how straight guys do gay porn, that's kind of an oxymoron is a guy is really straight, there is no way in hell I would ever consider that shit for a second, even if they were going to pay me an insane amount of money. Most guys who claim they are straight who do gay porn are probably really just bi-sexual or are extremely fucked up in the head sexually.

Also 90% of guys in porn don't make jack shit, I read somewhere that women typically make between $1000-2,000 a scene working for a good company, while guys only make $300-500 a scene. But $500 for 3 hours of "work", fucking a hot 18 year old chick might not be so bad. Some guys who get big in the industry like James Deen, Lex Steele, Mr. Pete, etc. are probably making somewhere in the $70,000-$100,000 a year range, while most others are only making $30,000-50,000.

I read online that James Deen is making a mainstream movie with Lindsey Lohan so he might be the first male pornstar to crossover into a mainstream movie audience.

I think something like 90% of chicks in porn have herpes and HPV, which doesn't really scare me, but there is also the risk of HIV which does scare the shit out of me. I read in a LA Times article that there were like 15 reported cases of HIV in the industry last year, which considering that's probably out of 500 full times porn stars, is actually a pretty high percentage and risk to factor in.

Also, the obvious, having hardcore sex tapes of you that will be around forever due to the internet, and the prospects of having family see that or know about it, makes it a lot less appealing.

All in all, I don't think I would ever get into the industry, but it's kind of always lingering in the back of my mind... Damn, I could get paid to fuck extremely hot 18 year olds, instead of hit up the bars, get rejected a bunch of times, get a shit ton of flakey numbers, and then have to settle and fuck a 6 just to get my rocks off.

Eh, anyways, that's what I know about the industry.

This is pretty interesting. "Straight" guys doing gay porn in Prague. It doesn't have anything about them branching off to straight porn though.

Quote:Quote:

Straight men work in American gay porn, too, but not in such large percentages. According to Rod Barry, a former marine-turned-porn-star, straight porn actors in the U.S. earn about $400 for a scene. In gay porn it is three, five, or even eight times that amount.

But globalization has changed the wage structure of the porn industry. In Eastern Europe, men are willing to do porn for a lot less. “That’s the downfall of the business," Barry says. "The cheap guys from Europe flood the market with crap product."

There is also a blog called ishootporn, which is quite funny. I think that guy has posts on how to break into the industry and a few about how stupid/fucked up the girls are.

That's Billy Watson's blog. Linked some of his video interviews here if anyone's interested.

w00t - there's all kinds of porn out there. I've seen small dick porn where the girl makes fun of the guy the whole scene and tells him she can't feel anything.

You never fail to make me laugh.

This shit is not hard to start, and it could be done cheaply. Thats why the web is flooded with this stuff now.

Startup costs

1) You need a few cameras and a decent video editor - 10k

2) You need a few grand to fuck the women on camera. Top flight pornstars are fucking on camera for less than a 1000 bucks a scene. This is widely published. Think popular stars are like 700-800 bucks for a few hours? They dont bang for the money, this is hooker and stripper advertising for most of them. 25 scenes for content library - 20k

3) You throw up a website which will cost a few grand - 15k

4) Throw 5 min clips onto tube sites to advertise, market the website by relying on piracy to spread your content bringing in people looking for full scenes.

Porn companies are dying though and the industry is being decimated by piracy. You probably need to have a niche of some sort, but I think you may cover costs and maybe cover bills, although you wont be making millions from it.

Operational costs

1) Shoot from apartment or house - ongoing rental, no one needs to know what you using it for - 2k a month
2) Content 2 scenes a week - 8k a month
3) Other costs - 4k a month at most

Startup - 45k
14k a month for a website that updates twice a week

If you whacked your subscribers 15 bucks a month, you are in the clear after 1000 subscribers cost wise. 10,000 worldwide subscribers and you are then approaching million dollar a year territory.

Actually I had this idea a little while ago and I may actually invest in and do it this fall:
Dress up me/my friends like we are from a girls gone wild type company
Rent a hotel room in a college town
Go bar/club and start asking girls if they want to be in our film
Post up after closing time and ask more girls
Bring girls who agree, back to hotel room
Bang them at our "porn shoot"

Also as far as banging regular porn stars goes, I think that it would be possible without paying/being in the industry as long as you had some fame/publicity angle that would benefit the star as well.

Your post is spot on. You can't really make money in porn anymore. The best you can do nowadays is "break even."

If you had $50K+ to blow and plenty of time, I guess you could fuck a lot of porn starlets by shooting your own POV videos/website.

That being said, I recently read a good article about the current state of porn and where it is heading (hint: it is going the way of dodo bird). See article below:

For years I've kicked around the idea of wiring my entire house for cameras and sound then streaming it on the net.

Of course the draw would be the 4 or 5 hot broads, preferably Eastern Europeans working in the tourist town nearby, I'd have living there for free in exchange for their entire home life being available for viewing by sex starved betas worldwide. Shower and jacuzzi cams included.

I'm sure my neighbors would be impressed.
