I will be going on a solo trip to Lithuania. I will be mostly based out of Vilnius but plan on hitting up Kaunas for a couple days by bus while I am there.

The entire trip is going to be 11 days. If anyone could give me suggestions in regards to either of those cities regarding good nightlife or anything at all, please let me know.

I'll be keeping you guys updating on how my trip goes.

if you have a myspace account do a search on girls in Lithuania and send out a template email asking those questions to all the hot chicks. you will be surprised how many respond and you can line up a bunch of dates before you even get over there.

you could try facebook but w/facebook the issue is that it doesnt reveal nearly as much information unless you become friends. w/myspace often times you can get into a profile, look at the city they live in vs. just the country, see multiple, sometimes dozens of pics, their relationship status, interests, etc and kind of get a feel for whether you really would want to even bother meeting the girl. w/facebook you dont get that much info so its much more difficult.

Thanks for all the info. I thought that only Russia/Ukraine had problems with skinheads jumping non-whites, but I've recently read (on this forum) that there have been instances in which East Asians have been assaulted. Does anyone have any idea about this?

I was curious about this and just did a google search and found a must-read article if you're a minority considering eastern Europe. He didn't regret going there but he was jumped by skinheads and other problems. At the same time he got attention from beautiful women for being exotic. I guess it's really a mixed bag.

Thanks for the link. I kind of feel like being a Black guy in Slovakia is different than being an Asian guy in Lithuania. Anyway, I've spammed some people on couchsurfing and have found some cool people to hang out with in both Vilnius and Kaunas.

Today I met a gorgeous Lithuanian girl. Couldn't find a single fat Lithuanian girl out of the dozens of them on her facebook photos, all were slim with banging bodies. One was model material (real tall, skinny, blonde hair blue eyed and that catwalk look angular face). All I can say is, I WILL get my ass up north to fucking Baltics one day. Try to avoid Kaunas if you can..very dangerous town!.Has a reputation in Lithuania for being full of thugs that are racist and like to rob and use violence against foreigners.

I was there a few weeks ago. I had a great time.

I really enjoyed a new lounge bar with live music that apparently only opened about 8 weeks ago (so its not in any of the guide books).

It's called soulbox

It depends on the night you go though. I was there on a weds I think and it was great and there were a lot of hot girls but was told that on other nights there might be only 10 people there.

Lumiere, can you break it down more? Did you hit any B cities in Lithuania like Klaipeda, Siauliai, Palanga? Also, was this a solo trip or you already had a local wingman to help out with language and logistics?
