Day Game Question: Following Up while Surfing

This is probably a bit of a niche question but I figured I throw it up and see if any of the vets here could think of some reasonably good tactics for me to experiment with.

The predicament I am running into is this:

I've been living in Hawaii for about 5 months now. I got heavily into surfing from pretty much my first week here. Generally, I have time to go out every other day but if there is a good swell I will go out every day and just let the other areas of my life fall to the wayside.

On the converse side of that, if the swell isn't so great, I still go out on that every other day schedule because that's when the lineups are filled with chicks. I've met a huge amount of girls from this and whether they be tourist girls or local chicks, I've had a lot of them show signs of being really into me. I've had several instances where the girl and I have been so wrapped up in the interaction that we've drifted like 50 yards outside of the lineup. I paddled out one day last week and had three beautiful local girls (not as a group; separate "sets") in the lineup that called out and excitedly waved at me or straight up paddled up next to me to come say hi.

The problem is, even though my game is clearly working with a lot of girls out there, I haven't been able to pull anything off with them because I have no follow up options. I obviously don't have a phone out there and any sort of spontaneous date or pull attempt I've tried has been unsuccessful. To date, I've only managed to see one of these girls out of the water and that's because I happened to run into her on the street and I number closed her and was then able to follow up as I normally would.

These girls are also of better quality than I am getting in my other gaming ventures so I'd love to be able to pull this off. The lineups of Oahu's South Shore may very well be my Poosy Paradise if I can figure out the end game here. Thoughts?

Day Game Question: Following Up while Surfing

I got a lot of thoughts about this, and could go on for hours.

My theory has always been that girls who surf don't really care that much about it, and are just out there because they want guys that surf to bang them.

Before you worry about what you do or say to girls directly while you're in the water, work on your surfing skills. They see it, and yes south shore Oahu in the summer can be pussy paradise, but wait till you see Pipeline, Sunset, Backdoor's and the rest of the North Shore in the winter.

That being said, here is the 100% winning line you use on a girl if you talking her up when you're in the water:

"You like burn?" which in plain English is "Would you like to smoke some marijuana?"

Every girl that surfs smokes. Another good idea is to keep a cooler filled with beers in your vehicle. The beers in your car should be your plan b, especially in around Waikiki. It's fish in a barrel (not waves barrel) down there. There is a bar on the shore at every break you got. I usually hit the spot they call "Canoe's." Those waves are kid stuff for me even at their best, but it's right in front of the Moana beach bar, where players have been swooping surf girls for over 100 years.

Thegmanifesto could probably give some solid info here.

Mr. McGillicuddy, why don't you give some more info about the spots you like and what went right or wrong with the girls. I'd like to make a swooping/surfing type data sheet for all of Oahu considering there are this many world class breaks: http://www.surf-oahu.com/map/.

Aloha!

I hope at least some of these babes are on the beach because I doubt I'll be ready to surf North Shore in anything but the lightest of conditions come this winter. That said, I'm trying to improve as fast as I can. Some days I do great, others I just kook it up.

This is pretty much the direction I'm leaning in...just gotta get them to paddle in under some sort of pretext to keep hanging out. Often they are with other people, especially if they drive in, so its not a sure fire strategy but it's what I've been thinking too.

As I said, its not that things are going wrong and most of the time these girls are showing signs that they are really into me, but logistically its just a tough move with a lot of moving parts: people she is with, how long she's been out, how good the waves are, if she has to go to work after her session, etc...I suppose at the very least paddling in together and exchanging phone #'s would work if she wasn't immediately available.

As for what is working, in general I will scope the lineup, catch a wave, and then just paddle up next to whichever girl I've picked out and say something pretty casual and short.

"Catching many?"
"Having fun?"
"That looks like a fun board, you like it?"
"Been out long?"

From there, just shoot the shit, complain about the lack of waves or get stoked on them if its good, talk about whatever. Typical day game type rambling and conversations.

I should probably start stuffing a credit card and my ID into my boardshorts and bringing flip flops and a shirt with me so I have the option of bouncing to other spots once they are on the hook. Usually, all I have is board, boardshorts, apt key.

Specific to my situation: Since I am still car-less (probably picking one up in the next few weeks though), I basically have been mostly surfing anything between Publics and Bowls. I think in that section Queens, Canoes, and In Betweens have the most girls with Canoes being best by a pretty significant margin.

This is off topic but not being able to understand Pidgin is a constant source of comedy in the life of a haole. I think sometimes you guys drop it on us just to see us get that WTF look on our face.

You seen this? Its pretty funny:

Mary Jane and logistics are key here. If you are close to the beach you can easily get the lizards to your pad with that line.

A good line that I use while in the water is:

Me: Hey! how big is your board?
She: 5, 6" or XX"
Me: Kidding right? I am looking to get a 5-6" Let me try it out....
She: sure, here....
Me: cheers, check out my 7-10"...
She: Cool.

After riding some waves...give the board back and thank her with an invitation to feed your clown fish back at your pad [Image: smile.gif]

Oahu rocks! I healthy envy you right now.

The harder you practice, the luckier you get.

My logistics are actually pretty good, especially when surfing the breaks I mentioned.

Oh yeah.

That's it.

The Greatest Pick up Line of All Time http://www.thegmanifesto.com/2007/08/gre...-time.html

Skip the $1500 bootcamp. This is all you need.

Trust me, I have gotten more fly Pro Snowboarder Girls between my sheets than Transworld Magazine.

And I have been right up next to more naked fly Pro Surf Girls than this year’s Roxy bathing suit line.

Sweet vids, thanks G. We've got a lot of talent packed onto this tiny island, that's for damn certain.

Curious, where did you grow up surfing? SoCal?

How are you doing with Japanese girls?

From what I've seen, the big trend right now is a ganjuro/kawaii mix kind thing.

I've taken a few 2 day trips to Tokyo here recently and noticed it real heavy there. The few Japanese girls I've swooped this be they new or regular are serious about this trend.

Basically the idea is the tanned beach look coupled with a love of all things cutesy. I rolled through Waikiki today and saw some J-girls walking in the alley area between Sheraton Waikiki and Halekulani carrying boards with characters on them and big clear bags full of pink towels and whatnot. They were wearing the bikinis too that look like they got a thong underneath a Brazilian style bottom. I saw girls elsewhere wearing the same.

This is really good for guys that surf south shore.

My luck with the Japanese girls has been hit or miss, mostly due to language barrier I think.

The two that I've gotten here have both at least been able to get by on English. Both were here for a few months doing English language classes. And I met both of them at night so extensive conversation wasn't exactly required. I met both at Moose's, the only two times I've been there - may have to go more often. Also need to check out Tsukiji.

One was very much into all that cutesy stuff you mentioned. Her iPhone had Hello Kitty ears popping off the top. I'd undress her and her underwear and socks would be pink or covered in hearts and bows and shit like that. Hell, when I met her at Moose's she was wearing baby blue pajama bottoms and had a pink book bag on. The other girl doesn't really have any of that and dresses really similar to American girls actually. She is super tan though which combined with more Western clothing, I thought she was local kine when I first approached her. Absolutely beautiful though. Probably the hottest girl I've gotten since I've been here. A blond EWOK could be another contender for that title but I prefer Asians right now so I'm giving it to the J-girl.

In day time, its a different story. I get plenty of attention from them. I have blond hair/blue eyes and if I walk down Kalakaua for like 15 minutes I can pretty much bet I will have at least 1-2 of them eye me and smile and then start giggling (covered mouth of course) and acting all shy when I stop to talk but I guess most Japanese don't learn English as I rarely find any that can put together anything more than "Aloha!" and "Thank you."

Recently, I was in Genius Lounge on a date and there was this local Hapa guy in there, clearly local but fluent in Japanese and he was absolutely killing it. Left with a Japanese girl on each arm and they were all over him. I should put some effort into at least learning a few phrases.

Day Game Question: Following Up while Surfing

This is I did something today that you might want to try.

I supped up by Velzyland with my brother for a while. We parked on the road. No waves, but there were girls galore on the beach. We went in and sat next to them for a minute and started bullshitting. The surfing subject came up quick considering we had giant boards and paddles.

These are East Side girls so a North Shore day was an event for them. They wanted to hit other beaches and walk around in Haleiwa. This is kind of like the issues you are trying to get past, Mr. mcGillicuddy.

The girls all surfed, and had questions about paddling. None of them owned the right boards. I just said "Oh you know I got a few extras that I'm trying to get rid of" and that hooked. Paddles too, I told them. This made exchanging numbers easy. They were gonna go do their thing, them come by and look at the boards.

Now when they called, they were tired and off their game from being in the sun all day. I said come by. First thing when they got here we started passing spliffs and drinking. All three of them are on my deck right now, with two of my guys.

I sure as hell am not giving boards to some unknown beach girl. On top of that, these girls have no way of transporting boards that size to Kailua. I won't let them do it even if they do since they got booze in their system. Either way, I guarantee these girls are staying on the North Shore tonight.

Hell, I could have just lied about having boards. Think about it.

Aloha!

It was good in town yesterday and today. Overhead but a bit inconsistent. Didn't attempt to swoop all that hard though.
