RooshVForum is banned by NetNanny!

I am an an internet cafe that just blocked me from going to this forum because the computer had NetNanny installed. (Luckily when I switched to another computer NetNanny had crashed and I was able to post this.)

Congrats to Roosh, a one-time hate group and current owner of a site that appears in lists of pornography websites!

I can't get on at work either in my new office. Was fine in my old office. Good news is I'm much more productive. Bad news is I can't really blog at work in peace.

If you setup your browser to use a proxy server you can get around most blocks like that.

Nah, I think it has something to do with the "What do you consider a 10" thread, which is full of pictures of naked girls.

How to bypass Net Nanny

"Alpha children wear grey. They work much harder than we do, because they're so frightfully clever. I'm awfully glad I'm a Beta, because I don't work so hard. And then we are much better than the Gammas and Deltas. Gammas are stupid. They all wear green, and Delta children wear khaki. Oh no, I don't want to play with Delta children. And Epsilons are still worse. They're too stupid to be able to read or write. Besides they wear black, which is such a beastly color. I'm so glad I'm a Beta."

Two or three years ago, when I was still lurking the forum (Note to Newbies: I lurked for months before even joining, never mind even posting a thread) this place wasn't blocked at the shitty office I was working in. They had a pretty strict filter, that blocked just about anything that would put a smile on your face or could even potentially give you half a boner.

I'm pretty sure I single-handedly added several websites to their block list, just by visiting them frequently. If I had a dollar for every time I saw an alert like this, I would have left that gig a lot earlier than I did.

I remember Basil posting that his place just recently blocked the RVF. I think that, as Google crawls this place more, the images and keywords are setting off whistles on the algorithms.
