Coast of Spain this summer, where to go?

Coast of Spain this summer, where to go?

So I'm trying to figure out a plan of action for 7-10 days this summer (July-August) somewhere on the coast of Spain but don't want the main tourist areas, preferably something slightly off the grid. I know that all of Europe flocks to the coastal areas in the summer, but I just don't want a bunch of drunk Brits running around. I want to chase beautiful Spanish women mostly, but I will take a sprinkling of chicks from other European countries as well while I'm at it. I speak fluent German so if I can pop that off from time to time I'm not opposed to it.

I'm going to rent a nice private apartment in a primo location to make logistics as easy as possible. I don't mind shelling out some dough for it, as I think it is always worth the extra coin at the end of the night and you are trying to drag them back to your place.

Here is what I would like:

1. Beautiful Spanish women and other foreigners who I can game without a whole lot of Spanish and would be receptive to a tall, good looking white guy.
2. Nice beaches, with clear water and not wind driven where I am picking sand out of my ass 3 hours a day.
3. Good nightlife. I think more of a pub/bar/lounge nightlife will be better than one based around clubs like Ibiza. Language barrier becomes more of an issue when you can't hear anything being said. I'm open to hear it all though.

If you guys have some recommendations on cities, towns, places that fit this description let me know. The good private apartments need to be booked fairly early I have found. This at least was the case with Croatia last summer.

Qwest,I've spent the last two summers on the Catalan coast renting a place in a small town called Canyelles. It's great because of these reasons:

1. It's very chilled with a great little beach that has good places for snorkling and exploring.
2. There are women from Northern Europe,Poland and Russia and lot's of Spanish.
3. There are no Brits there at all. In my last two summers there I never met another Brit.
4. It's a five minute drive from Lloret De Mar which is party central. Has loads of clubs, women ( again same demographic no Brits ) bars and a massive beach that is packed with fanny from one end to the other.
5. There is the 'CCCP' disco there which is full of Russian chicks, you'll have fun.
6. It's a 25 minute drive to a beatiful chilled resort of Tossa De Mar which was where the brat pack used to hang out. Full of Russian chicks, old windy streets,a castle overlooking the sea, absolutely stunning little town. Has a decent club too and plenty of bars. Mainly a family vibe but you can have fun.

What I'll say though is that Spanish are hard to bang,or at least I found that to be the case so be prepared to target Poles,Scando and Russian girls.

Look into Conil de la frontera. The place to be is francisco la fontanilla for the night life. I was there three years ago. It is a vacation spot mostly for the Spanish and in particular the Spanish from Madrid. There will be a few tourists from other parts of Europe but not many.

They don't receive many Americans so I felt like I was somewhat of a novelty. I feel like it is relatively undiscovered place. The women are hot and the beaches are beautiful. There are some nice tapas bars where I would start the evening. The clubs are pretty good as well.

Vorkuta & Doctordude, great info!

Vorkuta, you mentioned that its a 5 minute drive to Lloret De Mar, is that where you have to go out at night, or does Canyelles have little bars, etc to chase also? I just don't want to be boxed out logistically staying in Canyelles but chasing girls in Lloret.

I'm up for the challenge on the Spanish, but the Scandos/Russians will also work. I also speak fluent Finnish which may come in handy who knows...

Tossa De Mar sounds interesting also, worth staying a couple days there?

lowridercl, I was talking about prime summer season. Yes, right now they are not really traveling so options should be wide open. Try booking something in Hvar or Vodice right now for the July 15th- August 15th window and you're probably shit outta luck for the spots.

Novelty is definitely good for what I'm trying to do.

Is "francisco la fontanilla" a club/bar or is that a city/town??

Can I get by with minimal Spanish there?

It is a town. My Spanish is not great and had some difficulty talking to Spanish girls. However the ones who spoke English seemed to be intrigued by me as there are absolutely no Americans there. I found it to be an untapped place with lots of potential but a lack of Spanish can be tough. It is not overrun by english. I met a few germans and turkish i would say it is about 90 percent spanish . Also morocco is not too far awAy. You can take a bus to tarrifa and the a ferry to morocco

Qwest: No in Canyelles there is only 2 restaurants and no bars so you do have to go into Lloret for nights out but it's no trouble. If I was you then I would stay in Tossa which is a great little place and has everything you need but with a mellow vibe and then get the bus over to Lloret for when you want some hectic and debauched nights out.

So Tossa does have nightlife as well? Sounds like mostly with Russians, how about Spanish girls there?

Is there a reason you don't recommend staying directly in Lloret? Seems like from there I could do the most damage by meeting girls out and about and dragging them back to the apartment, no?

Vorkuta, this is some good insight and is much appreciated brother!

Tossa de Mar is a beautiful village, but not the right place to spend your holidays if you are looking for woman. The drive is not far, but will take you enough time to ruin the mood. Especially if you go by bus... It's way better to stay in Lloret de Mar.

Problem I find with Lloret is that there are a huge number of cheap drunk English & Germans, and camping type of people. Lots of ugly woman over there. the nightlife concentrates in one area, but offers the typical Spanish tourist club scene: cheap atmosphere, bad Dj's & kind of cheap people attending it.

I would rather head to Marbella or Ibiza if you are looking for good-looking woman, beaches & great nightclubs.

Qwest, the only reason I said stay in Tossa is because you said somewhere off the grid which I took to mean not a major resort. If your main goal is banging a lot of women then Lloret will fulfil your desires, and some. It's packed with fanny! Tossa as GiovanniRio said is nowhere near as good for women but you can get the bus over. Really depends what your priorities are. Personally I like to dip in and out of the hectic places as opposed to staying bang in the middle of them. You can get a train from a town near Lloret called Blanes which will take you into Barcalona in about 90 minutes so that you can have a night out in Barca and return after the clubs closes.

Unlike GiovanniRio I never met Brits there,I must have been lucky. I've not been anywhere else in Spain so I can't comment on Marbella but I've heard good things. I'm going to be on the Cote d'Azur when I get back from Abkhazia in the second half of July so if you're up that way on your travels drop me line, can hit St.Tropez together.

Hi,
I'm not a beach man myself, but as a Spaniard I've got my share of them.

First, bear in mind that Northern European tourists are associated with drunk hooliganism, as extreme drunkeness is frowned upon in Mediterranean culture, but Americans are uncommon in the coast (they usually go to the big cities), so maybe you can have an edge with the local girls.

About the bar/lounge scene, you can find it anywhere, even in places known for their clubs. The bars are very easy to spot when there is a football match.

The place I know better is Benidorm. It's a low quality place swarming with Spaniards and foreigners. Lots of pissed off Brit, German, Dutch and Scandinavian Girls. I've even witnessed guys fucking them and leaving them lying on the beach. When I was a teenager, I used to go there with some friends for two or three days: we fucked like rabbits, slept in the car and got showers in the beach. Don't sleep in the beach, you'll wake up without your wallet.
Other places like that are Torremolinos and Lloret de Mar. Lloret de Mar is the only one I haven't been to, but it's mayor has declared war on "drunken tourism":
http://www.spainreview.net/index.html/201...n-tourism/

My favourite places are Cabo de Gata and Cadaques, unspoilt beaches and natural scenary, but they're not the best ones to meet girls.

Northern Spain (from Portugal to France) offers good quality, but it has a rainy, Atlantic climate which attracts mainly Spanish tourists.

Cadiz province is now the fashionable place for Spaniards and has become pricey. I haven't been there.

Marbella is the Spanish St Tropez, I quite like it. However, the rich girls have their own clubs and private beaches, where they don't mingle with common people.

Ibiza has been for me the easiest place to pick up more or less sober girls, both national and foreigner.

I reccomend you the Canary Islands. I have been there only once, as I told in another thread, but the guys with game seem to have a soft spot for them (mainly Tenerife & Lanzarote).

And of course, you'll need Spanish to game Spanish girls, as English skills are poor here. If you're not at an advanced level, don't go to Andalusia, they're hard to understand even for other Spaniards (Cadiz speakers being the worst of all).

I will be hitting Tarifa, Marbella, Seville, Las Palamas, Mallaga etc. I have invites from friends in few of the places. I can dress well but not gonna be throwing $$$.

Any thoughts/ tips? Or is it all only high baller game?
